PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
APC Easy UPS On-Line SRV 10kVA/10kW Rackmount Extended-Runtime UPS with 240V Battery Pack (SRVPM10KRIL + SRV240RLBP-9A) - 2 Years Local Warranty
Double-Conversion On-Line Protection for Singapore's 230V/50Hz Supply
The APC Easy UPS On-Line SRVPM10KRIL is a true double-conversion on-line UPS rated at 10000 VA / 10000 W. Incoming mains is rectified to DC and rebuilt as a clean sine wave, so the load is fed from the inverter continuously rather than being switched across to battery when something goes wrong. Output voltage is held to within ±1% and distortion to 1% at full linear load.
That matters in Singapore, where the practical risk is far more often a sag, a brownout or a switching transient during a thunderstorm than a full blackout. The SRVPM10KRIL accepts 176–300 V AC at 100% load and 110–300 V AC at 60% load, so it rides through PUB grid disturbances on mains and keeps the batteries in reserve for genuine outages. Efficiency is better than 94% at rated load, which keeps the heat load on a comms room air-conditioner down.
Hardwired 3-Wire Installation — Please Plan For This
This is a hardwired unit. Schneider's own product name for it reads “Hard wire 3-wire(1P+N+E) outlet”: both the input and the output are terminal blocks. There is no plug and there are no IEC C13 or C19 sockets on this model. Anything you want to protect is connected through a downstream rack PDU or distribution board, not plugged into the back of the UPS.
Installation therefore needs a licensed electrician and a dedicated supply. A 10 kVA load draws in the order of 44 A at 230 V, so the circuit, breaker and cabling have to be sized for it before delivery day. If you were expecting to plug servers straight into the UPS, the IEC-outlet models in the same family are the 1–3 kVA Easy UPS On-Line SRV range — we are happy to help you choose.
Extended Runtime by Design — 240 V Battery Packs, Not Internal Cells
This listing is a two-part system: the SRVPM10KRIL power module and one SRV240RLBP-9A battery pack. The power module carries no internal batteries at all — Schneider's own product name for it ends “Extended runtime, No battery”. Every minute of stored energy lives in the external pack, which is what lets this configuration scale far beyond a standard-runtime UPS.
The pack supplied is a rackmount, 3u chassis holding 2160 VAh on a 240 V DC bus, and up to four packs can be fitted to one UPS. Add packs later as the load or the required hold-up time grows, without replacing the UPS itself. The 1170 W charger brings one pack back to 90% charge in around five hours; each additional pack extends that, and the charge current is configurable at 1, 2, 3 or 4 A so a large bank can be recharged without overloading the supply.
Rack Space and Depth — Check Before You Order
The power module is 2U and the battery pack is 3U, so budget 5U for the system as delivered, plus 3U for every additional pack. The battery pack includes its rack mounting kit; note that Schneider's name for the SRVPM10KRIL power module ends “W/O rail kit”, so plan the module's mounting with us at quotation stage.
Depth matters here. The power module is 615 mm deep and the battery pack 606 mm, so neither fits a standard 600 mm comms cabinet. A 700–900 mm deep rack is the realistic requirement, and the pack weighs 63 kg, so check the cabinet's static load rating and plan to fit it low in the rack.
Full Nameplate Watts, Bypass, EPO and Network Management
The SRVPM10KRIL is rated at unity power factor — 10000 VA gives a full 10000 W with no derating, and efficiency is better than 94% at rated load. An internal bypass operates automatically on overload or fault and can be commanded manually from the LCD console.
A rear-panel Emergency Power Off connector accepts a normally-closed contact for a room EPO loop. The Intelligent Card Slot takes an AP9544 Network Management Card 3 for SNMP monitoring, alerting and network shutdown, with USB and RS-232 ports fitted as standard.
Supplied Locally, with GST Invoice and Singapore Warranty
SourceIT supplies the SRVPM10KRIL as an APC by Schneider Electric product with a full GST invoice and local Singapore warranty support. APC's manufacturer term for this range is two years, repair or replace, and it applies worldwide — there is no separate European figure to catch you out. Schneider ask that the product be registered within ten days of purchase.
Because this is a hardwired unit, we would rather talk through the supply arrangement, the cabinet depth and the downstream distribution before you commit to a part number. Email sales@sourceit.com.sg with your load list and we will size it properly.

Compatibility & Runtime
What Connects to This UPS
There are no IEC sockets on this model. Schneider's product name specifies a single hard-wire 3-wire (1P+N+E) output, which is a terminal block. In practice the UPS output feeds a rack PDU, a sub-distribution board or a dedicated final circuit, and your equipment plugs into that. The input is a matching hard-wire 3-wire terminal block, so there is no plug to fit into a wall socket. Both ends must be terminated by a licensed electrician.
Sizing guidance: this unit is rated at unity power factor, so its 10000 W rating is the real continuous watts available. A 10000 W load draws in the order of 44 A at 230 V on the output side, and the supply circuit, breaker and cabling need to be sized accordingly, with headroom for battery recharge current on top of the load.
Battery Packs and Scaling Runtime
The SRVPM10KRIL power module holds no batteries. It is supplied here with one SRV240RLBP-9A pack (240 V DC, 2160 VAh) and accepts up to four packs in total, so runtime can be extended later without changing the UPS. The packs run on a 240 V DC bus and are built from 20 x 12 V 9 Ah sealed VRLA blocks per string.
Do not cross-order packs between ranges. The 192 V battery modules used by the standard-runtime SRV6KRIRK and SRV10KRIRK (SRV192RBP-7A / SRV192RBP-9A) are a different bus voltage and are not interchangeable with these 240 V packs. Schneider does not publish a replacement cartridge part number for the packs themselves, and makes no hot-swap claim for them, so we do not make one either.
Rack Fit, Depth and Weight
Budget 5U for the delivered system: 2U for the power module and 3U for the battery pack, plus a further 3U for each additional pack. The power module is 615 mm deep and the pack 606 mm, so a standard 600 mm cabinet will not take either — plan on 700–900 mm. The pack weighs 63 kg, so mount it low and check the cabinet's static load rating.
The battery pack includes its rack mounting kit. Schneider's name for the power module ends “W/O rail kit”, so please confirm the module's mounting hardware with us at quotation stage rather than assuming rails are in the box.
Runtime
Schneider publishes no runtime figures for this configuration, so we do not print any. Runtime depends on the load and on how many packs are fitted. Tell us the load in watts and the hold-up time you need and we will calculate the pack count with the distributor.
Management and Software
The Intelligent Card Slot accepts an AP9544 Network Management Card 3; Schneider's card compatibility chart covers the SRV 5–20 kVA range. USB and RS-232 serial ports are fitted as standard, and a rear-panel EPO connector takes a normally-closed contact for a room emergency power off loop.
Schneider does not document a bundled shutdown software package for the 6 and 10 kVA models, so we do not advertise one — network monitoring and shutdown are provided by the management card. The APV9601 card listed in our catalogue is documented for the smaller Easy UPS On-Line SRV models and should not be ordered for this unit.

Frequently Asked Questions — APC SRVPM10KRIL
What is the difference between the VA and the watt rating, and how do I size this UPS?
VA is apparent power and watts is real power. On most UPS ranges the watt figure is lower than the VA figure, so the watt rating is the one that limits what you can connect. This model is unusual and welcome in that it is rated at unity power factor: 10000 VA gives a full 10000 W. Add up the continuous watts of everything you intend to protect, leave headroom for start-up surge and for future growth, and check the total against 10000 W. Send us the list and we will do it with you.
Does this model have IEC outlets I can plug servers into?
No. Schneider's product name specifies a hard-wire 3-wire (1P+N+E) output, which is a terminal block. There are no C13 or C19 sockets on the unit at all, and the input is hardwired too. The output feeds a rack PDU or a distribution board, and a licensed electrician must terminate both ends. If you need a UPS you can simply plug into, look at the 1–3 kVA Easy UPS On-Line SRV models instead.
What runtime will I get?
Schneider does not publish a runtime table for this model, and we will not print a figure we cannot source. Runtime depends on how heavily the UPS is loaded — a unit at 30 per cent load runs far longer than the same unit at 90 per cent. Email sales@sourceit.com.sg with your load in watts and the hold-up time you need and we will get a proper figure from the distributor.
What does the “PM” in SRVPM10KRIL mean, and where are the batteries?
PM stands for power module. Schneider's official name for this part ends “Extended runtime, No battery”: the module itself contains no batteries at all. All the stored energy is in the external SRV240RLBP-9A pack supplied with it, and up to four packs can be fitted to one UPS. That is precisely why this configuration can be scaled to long runtimes that a standard-runtime UPS cannot reach.
Can I use the battery packs from the standard-runtime SRV6KRIRK or SRV10KRIRK?
No, and this is worth being careful about. The standard-runtime rack models run a 192 V DC battery bus and use a complete replacement battery module (SRV192RBP-7A or SRV192RBP-9A). The extended-runtime models on this page run a 240 V DC bus and use the SRV240BP-9A or SRV240RLBP-9A packs. The two are not interchangeable in either direction.
How much rack space does it need, and will it fit my cabinet?
The delivered system occupies 5U (2U power module plus a 3U battery pack). Depth is the thing to check: at 615 mm the chassis will not fit a standard 600 mm comms cabinet, so plan on a deeper rack, typically 800–900 mm, with rear clearance for the hardwired conduit. Please measure before you order — depth is the most common cause of an avoidable return on a unit this size.
How do I monitor it over the network?
The Intelligent Card Slot takes an AP9544 Network Management Card 3, which Schneider's compatibility chart covers for the SRV 5–20 kVA range. That gives SNMP monitoring, alerting and network shutdown. USB and RS-232 ports are fitted as standard. Schneider does not document a bundled shutdown software package for the 6 and 10 kVA models, so please do not assume PowerChute over USB — ask us and we will confirm what is supported for your build. The APV9601 card in our catalogue is for the smaller Easy UPS On-Line SRV models and should not be ordered for this one.
Does it come with a Singapore warranty and a GST invoice?
Yes. Every APC SRVPM10KRIL sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice; APC backs the SRVPM10KRIL with a 2-year manufacturer warranty.
