APC Dry Contact I/O SmartSlot Card
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
APC Dry Contact I/O SmartSlot Card, 4 Input Contacts & 6 Output Relays, 2 Universal I/O Ports (AP9613) - 2 Years Local Warranty
Six Output Relays and Four Input Contacts in One APC SmartSlot Card
The APC Dry Contact I/O SmartSlot Card (AP9613) turns a spare SmartSlot bay in your Smart-UPS into a hard-wired signalling interface. Schneider Electric's installation manual for the card specifies four opto-isolated input contacts and six output relays, and both counts can be lifted to eight by adding the optional AP9810 dry contact I/O accessory. That gives you volt-free contacts to drive an alarm panel, a beacon, a generator start signal or a building management system directly from UPS events, with no software layer in between.
Each output relay is rated 0 to 30 VAC or VDC at a maximum of 3 A, with 16 A total across all six relays. The card is configured with DIP switches and a USB-connected configuration utility, so commissioning is a bench job rather than a network project.
Dry Contact Signalling for Building Management and Generator Control
Plenty of Singapore server rooms, comms cabinets and industrial cabinets still run on volt-free contacts rather than SNMP. Fire panels, BMS head-ends, PLC inputs, generator auto-start controllers and older alarm annunciators all expect a simple open or closed circuit. The AP9613 gives your APC UPS that language: map UPS conditions onto relay outputs, and feed external conditions - a door switch, a leak detector, a plant alarm - back in through the input contacts.
Because the interface is electrical rather than networked, it keeps working when the network does not. That matters during exactly the events you bought a UPS for.
Two Universal I/O Ports for Temperature and Humidity Sensing
The AP9613 carries two universal I/O ports (ports 1 and 2). Schneider's manual confirms these accept the AP9335T temperature sensor, the AP9335TH temperature and humidity sensor, and the AP9810 dry contact accessory. In Singapore's climate that is a practical addition: a comms cabinet that loses cooling over a long weekend heats and humidifies quickly, and a sensor on the UPS itself will tell you before the hardware does.
Add the AP9335TH and the same card that drives your alarm contacts also watches the rack's temperature and relative humidity.
Fits APC UPS Units With a Free SmartSlot
Per the AP9613 installation manual the card suits most APC by Schneider Electric UPS devices with an output rated at or below 160 kVA and an available SmartSlot bay - which typically covers the Smart-UPS, Smart-UPS X and Smart-UPS On-Line ranges SourceIT stocks, though the pairing should be confirmed per model. Most Smart-UPS models have a single SmartSlot, so plan whether that bay carries a network management card or this dry contact card before you order; SourceIT can confirm the slot count for your exact model.
Supplied and invoiced locally in Singapore with GST, from stock.

Compatibility & Fit
Which APC UPS units take the AP9613. The AP9613 installs in an APC SmartSlot bay. Schneider's installation manual for the card states it suits most APC by Schneider Electric UPS devices with an output rated at or below 160 kVA that have an available SmartSlot. In the SourceIT catalogue that will typically include the Smart-UPS SmartConnect range, the Smart-UPS X range and the Smart-UPS On-Line SRT range - ask us to confirm your model. Most single-phase Smart-UPS models provide one SmartSlot only, so the AP9613 and a network management card compete for the same bay - decide which function the slot serves before ordering, or ask us to check your specific model.
What connects to the card. Two universal I/O ports accept the APC Temperature & Humidity Sensor (AP9335TH), the AP9335T temperature-only sensor, and the AP9810 dry contact I/O accessory. Adding the AP9810 expands the card to eight input contacts and eight output relays, per the AP9613 manual. AP9335T and AP9810 are not stocked lines - ask SourceIT to source them.
What the relay outputs can drive. Each relay switches 0 to 30 VAC or VDC at up to 3 A, with a 16 A total budget across all relays. That suits signalling duties - alarm panel inputs, BMS digital inputs, beacons, generator start contacts, PLC inputs. It is a signalling interface, not a power switch: do not use the relays to carry load current.
Network management is a separate product. The AP9613 does not put the UPS on the network. If you need SNMP, HTTPS, EcoStruxure IT or PowerChute Network Shutdown, that is the Network Management Card 3 (AP9640), or the AP9641 if you also want sensor ports. The AP9641 combines network management with two universal I/O ports, which will accept an AP9810 dry contact accessory if you also need contacts from that slot.

Frequently Asked Questions — APC AP9613
How many inputs and outputs does the AP9613 actually have?
Four opto-isolated input contacts and six output relays, per Schneider Electric's installation manual for the card. Adding the optional AP9810 dry contact I/O accessory expands both to eight.
What can the output relays switch?
Each relay is rated 0 to 30 VAC or VDC at up to 3 A, with a 16 A total budget across all relays. That is a signalling rating, not a load-switching rating. Use it to drive alarm panel inputs, BMS digital inputs, beacons, PLC inputs or a generator start contact - not to carry equipment load.
Will the AP9613 fit my UPS?
It needs an available APC SmartSlot bay. Schneider's manual gives the scope as most APC UPS devices rated 160 kVA or below with a free SmartSlot, which covers the Smart-UPS, Smart-UPS X and Smart-UPS On-Line SRT ranges we stock. The catch is slot count: most single-phase Smart-UPS models have exactly one SmartSlot, so a dry contact card and a network management card compete for it. Send us your UPS part number and we will confirm what your model provides.
Does the AP9613 put my UPS on the network?
No. It is an electrical signalling card, not a network card. For SNMP, HTTPS, SSH, Modbus, BACnet, EcoStruxure IT or PowerChute Network Shutdown you want the AP9640 Network Management Card 3, or the AP9641 if you also need sensor ports. The AP9641 is worth comparing here because it bundles network management with two universal I/O ports, which will take an AP9810 dry contact accessory - in a single-SmartSlot UPS that combination often beats choosing between the two cards.
Can I connect a temperature sensor to it?
Yes. The card has two universal I/O ports that accept the AP9335TH temperature and humidity sensor or the AP9335T temperature-only sensor. The AP9335TH is a stocked SourceIT line with a 3.9 m RJ45 lead.
How is the card configured?
Through DIP switches on the card plus a configuration utility over USB. There is no web interface; the card's purpose is hard-wired signalling that keeps working independently of the network.
Does it come with a Singapore warranty?
Yes. Every APC AP9613 sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice; APC backs the AP9613 with a 2-year manufacturer warranty.
