Yealink Speakerphones: SP92, SP96, Mspeech, CP50 Singapore

A Yealink speakerphone is the cheapest way to make a laptop call sound like a meeting, and the right one depends on where it will sit: on one person's desk, in the middle of a huddle table, or wired into a room system as the microphone. SourceIT supplies Yealink in Singapore, and this guide covers the whole speakerphone and room-audio range we list with a price: the Yealink SP92 personal Bluetooth speakerphone from S$94.50, the Yealink SP96 six-microphone speakerphone from S$206.55, the Yealink Mspeech smart USB speakerphone for Microsoft Teams at S$525.00, the Yealink CP50 conference microphone at S$525.00 with its Yealink CPE40 expansion microphone at S$410.00, and the Yealink MSpeaker II and MSpeaker Pro soundbars for room kits. If you need a phone rather than a USB device, read the companion post on the Yealink CP925, CP935W and CP965 conference phones; for the full line, start at the Yealink Singapore buyer's guide.

Which Yealink speakerphone for a personal desk: SP92

The Yealink SP92 USB and Bluetooth speakerphone is the one to buy for a single user who wants to take Teams, Zoom or Google Meet calls without a headset. Yealink's spec sheet lists one omnidirectional microphone with a 4 m all-round pickup range, AI noise cancellation, acoustic echo cancellation and full-duplex audio, and a 50 mm speaker. It runs Bluetooth 5.3 with a 30 m range, holds two simultaneous connections (laptop plus mobile), remembers up to 8 paired devices, and the battery gives up to 20 hours of talk or music time with a 2.5-hour charge. At 276 g it travels in the supplied carrying case.

Two SKUs are listed. The S$94.50 version ships with the USB-C/A cable and uses the laptop's own Bluetooth. The SP92 with BT51C dongle at S$114.75 adds Yealink's USB dongle and USB-C/A adapter, a more stable link on corporate laptops where Bluetooth is locked down or already shared with a mouse and keyboard.

Which speakerphone for a huddle room or small meeting table: SP96

The Yealink SP96 is the step up for a shared table. Six beamforming microphones give 5 m all-round pickup with AI noise cancellation, a 65 mm full-range speaker adds super-wideband audio and virtual bass, and a small LCD shows call status, Bluetooth state and cascade mode. The 6,000 mAh battery is rated for up to 26 hours of talk time, Bluetooth 5.3 reaches 30 m with two simultaneous connections and 8 paired devices, and it weighs 400 g. The feature that matters for rooms is the wireless daisy chain: two SP96 units link to cover a longer table, which Yealink rates for up to 20 people. Again there are two listings, S$206.55 with the cable and S$228.15 with the BT51C dongle.

In the huddle rooms we quote in Singapore, the SP96 is usually the audio half of a BYOD room, paired with a USB camera and the host's laptop. When one device should do camera and audio, the Yealink UVC40 E2 video bar at S$645.00 replaces both; our BYOD video conferencing kits guide covers that decision.

Does the SP92 or SP96 work with Microsoft Teams and Zoom?

Both appear to the computer as a standard USB or Bluetooth audio device and Yealink states compatibility with more than 100 UC platforms and operating systems, so they work with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex and Google Meet as a selectable speaker and microphone. Yealink's SP92 and SP96 product pages do not list a Microsoft Teams or Zoom certification for these two models, so if your IT policy requires a certified device, tell us when requesting a quote and we will confirm the current status with Yealink Singapore. For a certified Teams speakerphone the Mspeech below is the purpose-built option, and the Yealink CP-series portable speakerphones collection lists every model.

Yealink Mspeech: the Teams speakerphone with live transcription

The Yealink Mspeech smart USB speakerphone at S$525.00 is a different kind of product. Co-developed by Yealink and Microsoft, it carries two microphone arrays: a 3-microphone array that handles call audio over a 6 m radius for up to 10 in-room participants, and a separate 7-microphone array dedicated to speech recognition. Inside a Microsoft Teams room it enables live transcription that identifies in-room speakers by name, real-time translation and voice assistance, features that an ordinary USB speakerphone cannot provide because Teams needs the second array to separate voices. The 4 W speaker covers 100 Hz to 8 kHz, and the unit is plug-and-play over a built-in 2 m USB cable that carries both audio and power; there is no battery and no Bluetooth, because it is meant to stay on the table of a Yealink MVC Microsoft Teams Rooms system. If you are specifying an MVC S40 or S50 for a room where meeting notes matter, the Mspeech is the accessory to add; our Yealink Microsoft Teams Rooms guide explains which kit it belongs with.

CP50 and CPE40: using a speakerphone as the room microphone

Once a table is longer than about 3 m, a video bar's own microphones run out of reach and the answer is a table microphone. The Yealink CP50 professional video conference microphone at S$525.00 is Yealink's current table mic for bars and room kits: an 8-element omnidirectional array with 360-degree pickup over a 6 m range, noise and echo cancellation, reverberation removal, full-duplex audio and automatic voice gain that lifts a quiet speaker at the far end of the table. It has full-range speakers of its own and physical mute, volume and Bluetooth buttons that stay in sync with the meeting software. It connects by USB to a PC or to the OPS slot of a conference display (Windows only at present), or by Ethernet to a room terminal or a Yealink UVC camera; Yealink also documents a USB-C connection to a laptop for BYOD use with the UVC85.

The Yealink CPE40 professional conference microphone at S$410.00 is the expansion unit: the same 8-element 360-degree array with a 6 m range, speakers and three buttons, powered and connected to the CP50 over a single network cable. Yealink supports up to 8 CPE40 units daisy-chained from one CP50 over PoE, and notes that chaining 4 or more needs a 48 V 2 A power adapter. A boardroom with a 6 m table typically needs the CP50 plus one CPE40. Yealink's pages point to its Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms accessory compatibility lists for which kits accept the CP50 and CPE40, so tell us the kit you are specifying and we will confirm before quoting. For the room-size logic behind mic counts, see best Yealink video conferencing system by room size; the VCM35 and VCM36-W array alternatives are in the Yealink microphones and audio collection.

MSpeaker II and MSpeaker Pro: adding a soundbar to a room kit

When the microphones sit on the table, the loudspeaker should sit under the display so the far end's voice comes from where their face is. The Yealink MSpeaker II soundbar at S$355.00 is a 10 W RMS stereo bar that connects through an RJ45 VCH port with PoE or a 3.5 mm AUX line-in and mounts horizontally or vertically on the included bracket. Its listing names the MVC and ZVC kits it supports (up to four units on MVC/ZVC 800- and 900-series kits) and the models it does not, which include the MeetingBar A-series and MeetingBoard, so check your kit before ordering. The Yealink MSpeaker Pro at S$601.19 is the current-generation bar for Microsoft Teams Rooms kits: four speaker units rated up to 95 dB, power and data over one PoE cable straight to the host, and star-topology cascading for multiple bars. Both are in the Yealink speakerphones and soundbars collection.

In short: buy the SP92 for one person, the SP96 for a table of up to six (two linked for a long table), the Mspeech when the room runs Microsoft Teams Rooms and you want transcription, and the CP50 plus CPE40 when a video bar or kit needs microphones that reach the whole table. Add an MSpeaker when the speaker needs to be at the screen. If the room must dial phone numbers without a laptop, a conference phone is the better tool; the CP925 vs CP935W vs CP965 comparison covers those.
