Poly Edge E220 Desktop Business IP Phone
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Poly Edge E220 Desktop Business IP Phone — 82M87AA - Local Warranty
Poly Edge E220 Open SIP Desk Phone with Bluetooth Headset Pairing
The Poly Edge E220 is the first phone in HP's Edge E range to carry Bluetooth, which makes it the natural standard for a general office desk. HP specifies 4 line keys supporting up to 16 lines and contacts with a pagination key, integrated Bluetooth 5.0 with fast pairing on selected Poly headsets, and NFC. For a Singapore office standardising one phone across sales, support and admin desks, it is the point in the range where the phone stops being a fixed appliance and starts working with the headset the user already wears.
Bluetooth 5.0 and Four Headset Paths
Integrated Bluetooth 5.0 lets a user pair a wireless headset or a mobile phone at the desk, with fast pairing on selected Poly headsets. HP also documents USB, RJ-9 and Electronic Hook Switch headset options on this model, so an existing estate of corded or EHS-lifter headsets carries straight across — useful when a refresh replaces the phones but not the headsets.
Poly Acoustic Fence and NoiseBlockAI for Open-Plan Floors
Poly NoiseBlockAI suppresses keyboard, paper and air-conditioning noise on the speakerphone, and Poly Acoustic Fence keeps the neighbouring desk's conversation out of the call. Combined with Poly HD Voice and Poly Acoustic Clarity full-duplex operation with acoustic echo cancellation, the E220 holds up in the open-plan layouts that dominate Singapore office space.
Two Gigabit Ports, Class 3 PoE, One Cable to the Desk
A two-port gigabit Ethernet switch with PC passthrough means the phone and the workstation share one structured-cabling drop, and built-in auto-sensing IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet at Class 3 (13 W maximum) removes the desk power adapter entirely. No power supply is included in the box, so confirm PoE availability on the access switch before rollout.

Compatibility & Software Support
Platforms and certifications
The Poly Edge E220 is an Open SIP desk phone. It registers against hosted and on-premise SIP platforms — 3CX, Asterisk and FreePBX derivatives, BroadWorks and Metaswitch-based hosted services, and the SIP trunking services offered by Singapore carriers.
HP publishes no Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet certification for any model in the Edge E range, and we do not claim one. Where a Microsoft Teams certified desk phone is the requirement, the Poly CCX Teams Edition models are the correct line — see the CCX 350 for Microsoft Teams.
Wireless and device connectivity
Integrated Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC. HP publishes no Wi-Fi for the Edge E220.
Headsets
Bluetooth, USB, RJ-9 or Electronic Hook Switch (EHS)
Provisioning and security
The Edge E series supports HTTPS provisioning with encrypted configuration files and signed software, 802.1X network authentication, SRTP media encryption and TLS signalling — the controls a Singapore IT team needs to put a phone estate on a corporate VLAN without exceptions.
Management software
HP states “Simple set up and support with Poly Lens” for the Edge E series. Poly Lens is HP's cloud device-management service: from one console your IT team can see device health, push firmware, apply configuration profiles and pull usage insight across every Poly device in the estate, phones and meeting rooms alike.

Frequently Asked Questions — Poly Edge E220
How many lines does the Poly Edge E220 support?
HP specifies 4 line keys supporting up to 16 lines and contacts, with a pagination key that brings the rest into view. Below it the Edge E100 offers 2 keys and up to 8; above it the Edge E300 offers 8 keys and up to 32.
Does the Edge E220 have Wi-Fi?
No. HP's wireless specification for the Edge E220 lists Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC only — there is no Wi-Fi on this model. Within the Edge E range Wi-Fi appears only on the Edge E350, the Edge E450 and the Edge E550. If the desk position has no network drop, one of those three is the model to specify.
What is the difference between the Edge E220 and the Edge E320?
Both carry Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC, and neither has Wi-Fi. The Edge E320 steps up to a 3.5-inch colour IPS LCD with a surround-light status indicator and 8 line keys supporting up to 32 lines and contacts, against the E220's 2.8-inch display and 4 keys or 16 lines. If the user genuinely needs the extra visible keys, the E320 earns the difference; if not, the E220 does the same job on the same wireless capability.
Which colour does the Edge E220 come in?
HP publishes White and Midnight blue for the Edge E series. Singapore stock varies by colour, so confirm the finish with our sales team before committing a multi-desk rollout to one colourway.
Do I need a power supply, or will PoE run it?
PoE will run it — HP specifies IEEE 802.3af Class 3, 13 W maximum. No power supply is included in the box. Where a desk has no PoE switch port, an optional Poly power supply is ordered separately and we can quote it alongside the phone.
Can I add an expansion module?
No. HP documents expansion-module support only on the Edge E400 Series and Edge E500 Series. For busy-lamp-field keys specify the Edge E400, Edge E450, Edge E500 or Edge E550. A wall mount bracket covering the E100 and E220 is available separately.
Is the Edge E220 certified for Microsoft Teams?
HP publishes no Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet certification for any Edge E model, and we do not claim one. The range is Open SIP, for hosted and on-premise SIP platforms. For a Teams-certified desk phone, look at the Poly CCX Teams Edition models such as the CCX 350 for Microsoft Teams.
Does the Poly Edge E220 come with a Singapore warranty and GST invoice?
Yes. Every Poly Edge E220 sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
