Poly Edge E100 Desktop Business IP Phone — 82M86AA - Local Warranty
Poly Edge E100 Entry-Level Open SIP Desk Phone for High-Volume Rollouts
The Poly Edge E100 is the entry point to HP's Edge E range: a two-line-key Open SIP desk phone built for the places an organisation needs a lot of handsets and not a lot of complexity — reception counters, meeting-room corners, warehouse offices, hot-desk banks and lobby positions. HP specifies 2 line keys supporting up to 8 lines and contacts, with a pagination key that brings the rest into view, so it handles more than its key count suggests. For a Singapore fit-out where the count runs to dozens of desks, it is the model that keeps the per-seat figure sensible without dropping to consumer hardware.
Poly Acoustic Fence and NoiseBlockAI on an Entry-Level Handset
The Edge E100 carries the same two noise technologies as the phones above it in the range. Poly NoiseBlockAI suppresses the keyboard clatter, paper rustle and air-conditioning hum that leak into a speakerphone call, and Poly Acoustic Fence draws a boundary around the handset so the conversation at the next desk stays out of yours. In the open-plan floorplates most Singapore offices work in, that is the difference between a call that sounds professional and one that does not.
Two Gigabit Ethernet Ports and Class 3 PoE — One Cable to the Desk
HP specifies a two-port gigabit Ethernet switch with LAN and PC passthrough, so the phone and the workstation share a single structured-cabling drop. Power comes over the same cable: built-in auto-sensing IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet at Class 3, 13 W maximum. No power adapter is supplied and none is needed where the access switch supports PoE.
What the Edge E100 Does Not Have — and Why That Matters When You Specify
HP's own wireless specification for the Edge E100 lists NFC and nothing else: there is no Bluetooth and no Wi-Fi on this model. If a user needs to pair a Bluetooth headset at the desk, the Edge E220 is the first model in the range that supports it; if the position has no network drop and must run over Wi-Fi, the Edge E350 is the first that does. Specifying that difference up front avoids the most common substitution on Edge E orders.

Compatibility & Software Support
Platforms and certifications
The Poly Edge E100 is an Open SIP desk phone. It registers against hosted and on-premise SIP platforms — 3CX, Asterisk and FreePBX derivatives, BroadWorks and Metaswitch-based hosted services, and the SIP trunking services offered by Singapore carriers.
HP publishes no Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet certification for any model in the Edge E range, and we do not claim one. Where a Microsoft Teams certified desk phone is the requirement, the Poly CCX Teams Edition models are the correct line — see the CCX 350 for Microsoft Teams.
Wireless and device connectivity
NFC only. HP publishes no Bluetooth and no Wi-Fi for the Edge E100.
Headsets
USB, RJ-9 or Electronic Hook Switch (EHS)
Provisioning and security
The Edge E series supports HTTPS provisioning with encrypted configuration files and signed software, 802.1X network authentication, SRTP media encryption and TLS signalling — the controls a Singapore IT team needs to put a phone estate on a corporate VLAN without exceptions.
Management software
HP states “Simple set up and support with Poly Lens” for the Edge E series. Poly Lens is HP's cloud device-management service: from one console your IT team can see device health, push firmware, apply configuration profiles and pull usage insight across every Poly device in the estate, phones and meeting rooms alike.

Frequently Asked Questions — Poly Edge E100
How many lines does the Poly Edge E100 support?
HP specifies 2 line keys supporting up to 8 lines and contacts. A pagination key brings additional lines and contacts into view, so the phone reaches its full 8 without needing eight physical keys. If you need more visible keys at a glance, the Edge E220 offers 4 keys and up to 16, and the Edge E300 offers 8 keys and up to 32.
Does the Edge E100 have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?
No to both. HP's wireless specification for the Edge E100 lists NFC only. Bluetooth 5.0 first appears on the Edge E220, and Wi-Fi first appears on the Edge E350. Do not assume a sibling model's wireless capability carries down to this one — within the Edge E range it does not follow the model numbering.
Which colour does the Edge E100 come in?
HP publishes two colourways for the Edge E series, White and Midnight blue. Stock in Singapore varies by colour and by lead time, so confirm the colour against your order with our sales team before you commit a large rollout to one finish.
Do I need a power adapter, or will PoE run it?
PoE will run it. HP specifies built-in auto-sensing IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet at Class 3 and 13 W maximum, and no power supply is included in the box. If the position has no PoE switch port, an optional Poly power supply is required and is ordered separately — tell us at quotation stage and we will include it.
Can I add an expansion module to the Edge E100?
No. HP documents expansion-module support only on the Edge E400 Series and the Edge E500 Series. If a receptionist needs busy-lamp keys for a whole floor, specify the Edge E400 or Edge E450 (one module) or the Edge E500 or Edge E550 (two modules). A wall mount bracket is available for the E100 and E220.
Is the Edge E100 certified for Microsoft Teams or Zoom?
HP publishes no Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet certification for any Edge E model, and we do not claim one. The Edge E range is an Open SIP line, designed to register against hosted and on-premise SIP platforms. If a Teams-certified desk phone is what you need, look at the Poly CCX Teams Edition models such as the CCX 350 for Microsoft Teams.
Does the Poly Edge E100 come with a Singapore warranty and GST invoice?
Yes. Every Poly Edge E100 sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
