2.5G Multi-Gig Port with PoE+
A single 2.5GBASE-T port carries both data and power: run it from an 802.3at PoE+ switch (15.3 W) or an optional 12V DC adapter, so the WiFi is never held back by a 1G uplink.
Enterprise-Grade Security, Made Simple
WPA3, WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise with RADIUS, up to 8 SSIDs mapped to VLANs and a guest captive portal let you separate staff, guests and IoT devices cleanly.
Managed from Anywhere with NETGEAR Insight

Frequently Asked Questions — NETGEAR WAX610
Is a power adapter included with the WAX610?
No. The WAX610 is designed to be powered by PoE+ (802.3at). An optional 12V DC, 2.5A adapter can be used instead but is sold separately.
Will it work on a standard 802.3af PoE switch?
Yes, but NETGEAR rates 802.3af operation at approximately 60% of full throughput. Use 802.3at PoE+ for full performance.
Do I need a 2.5G switch?
No. The port auto-negotiates at 100M, 1G or 2.5G; a 2.5G PoE+ switch port lets the AP use its full WiFi 6 throughput.
Can I use it without the Insight cloud?
Yes. It can be managed locally through its web browser UI in standalone mode, or via the NETGEAR Insight app and Cloud Portal.
What warranty do I get?
5 Years local warranty in Singapore, supplied by SourceIT with a GST invoice.
