WiFi 6 AX3000 for Busy Business Networks
The NETGEAR WAX615 is a dual-band WiFi 6 (802.11ax) access point rated AX3000, delivering up to 2400 Mbps on 5 GHz and 600 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Dual-band 2x2 radios with four spatial streams, bidirectional MU-MIMO and OFDMA serve many devices at once, while 160 MHz channels on 5 GHz and Target Wake Time help client devices get faster speeds and longer battery life.
2.5GbE Multi-Gig Uplink with PoE
A single 100/1000/2.5GBASE-T port carries both data and power, so the WAX615 can run from an 802.3at PoE switch or injector with one cable. The Multi-Gig uplink avoids the 1 Gbps bottleneck of a standard Gigabit port, and the access point draws 21.2 W maximum.
Secure, Segmented WiFi
Create up to 8 SSIDs, each mapped to its own VLAN, for staff, guest and IoT networks. Security options include WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 (Personal and Enterprise), Enhanced Open, 802.1X RADIUS with EAP-TLS, TTLS and PEAP, MAC authentication and filtering, plus a guest network with captive portal.
Insight Cloud or Standalone Management
Set up and monitor the WAX615 remotely with the NETGEAR Insight app or cloud portal, or run it in standalone mode. Instant WiFi Mesh forms a wireless backhaul with other compatible NETGEAR access points, and band steering and bandwidth management help balance clients across the network. The flat 241.5 x 241.5 mm unit ships with a wall/ceiling mount kit.

Does the WAX615 come with a power adapter?
No. It is powered over Ethernet from an IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) switch or injector. An optional 12 V DC, 2.5 A adapter can be used instead and is sold separately.
Do I need a 2.5GbE switch?
No. The port supports 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps. A Multi-Gig switch port lets you use the full 2.5 Gbps uplink.
Can I manage it without the cloud?
Yes. NETGEAR lists Insight (app or cloud portal) or standalone as the management options.
How many networks can I create?
