First, the contents. Lenovo's PSREF sheet marks both the ThinkSmart Controller and the accessories — the HDMI ingest dongle, the power adapter cage, the VESA bracket kit, the wall or table mount bracket — as per-model configurable options, and does not publish which options this specific part number carries. So we cannot tell you from Lenovo's documents whether a controller is in the box. Ask us and we will confirm the carton contents with Lenovo before you commit. We would rather do that than print a bill of materials we invented.

Second, the warranty. PSREF publishes 1-year limited onsite service for this kit. Every other ThinkSmart product in this range carries three years. If a three-year term matters to you, budget for the warranty upgrade rather than assuming it is included — and ask us, because Lenovo's onsite extensions are usually cheaper bought at the time of purchase.

This kit also contains no camera, no microphone and no speakers, and drives one external display over its single HDMI port. It is the compute and control layer for a room whose audio-visual equipment you already have or are buying separately.

How many displays can it drive?

One. PSREF states support for one external monitor over the single HDMI 2.1 port, plus one control panel over USB-C. If your room needs two screens, this is not the right compute unit — the ThinkSmart Core kits drive two, and we will quote one.

Can I upgrade the memory?

Yes, and this is the only ThinkSmart product in the range where you can. It has two DDR4 SODIMM slots, dual-channel capable, up to 16 GB, rather than memory soldered to the board. Which modules ship in this specific part number is not published, so ask us if you want a particular configuration.

Is it certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms?

Yes — "Lenovo ThinkSmart Tiny Kit" appears by name on Microsoft's Teams Rooms certified-hardware article. That is a tested certification rather than a compatibility claim. It is not on Zoom's certified list, and Lenovo publishes a Teams Rooms preload for it rather than a Zoom one.

Is the platform licence included?

Lenovo does not publish an answer. Its datasheets say the platform is "preloaded" or that the device is "certified", which describes the software image and the testing programme rather than the subscription entitlement.
