A Conferencing Soundbar for Rooms Where the Audio Is the Problem
Most meeting rooms fail on sound rather than picture. The ThinkSmart Bar is Lenovo's answer to that: an 800 mm bar with four speaker units putting out 20 W + 20 W to a loudness of 97 dB, tuned from 250 Hz to 20 kHz, with built-in digital signal processing for echo cancellation and noise suppression. Lenovo describes it as "an enterprise-level collaboration sound bar that can be paired with a computing device or used alone".
It Is a Soundbar. There Is No Camera in It
Worth saying plainly, because Lenovo also sells a product called the ThinkSmart Bar 180, and the two are completely different despite the shared name. The Bar 180 is a video bar with three cameras. This one has no camera at all. If you need video, you need a camera alongside it — or one of the Bar 180 kits, which we also sell.

There is a conflict between two Lenovo sources about whether this specific part number includes microphones, and it changes what the product is. We have set it out in full in the compatibility section rather than burying it, because it is the difference between a conferencing device and a speaker. Ask us to confirm the configuration before ordering and we will get it in writing from Lenovo.
Table, Wall or Television Mounted
Lenovo publishes standalone tabletop use plus wall and television mounting options, and pairs it in its own documentation with the ThinkSmart Hub or a ThinkSmart Edition Tiny. Connection is USB 2.0 or USB-C. Bluetooth 5.0 is on board with A2DP, SBC, MPEG-4 and AAC — though note Lenovo's datasheet states the Bluetooth is for phones and is not PC compatible.

Read this before ordering: a conflict in Lenovo's own documents
Lenovo's ThinkSmart Bar datasheet describes four built-in microphones with an 8.5 metre pickup range. But Lenovo's own United Kingdom product page for this exact part number, 11RTZ9AXUK, carries the model description "ThinkSmart Bar No Mic UK TX" — which indicates a speaker-only configuration.
Those two Lenovo sources cannot both be right about this SKU, and the difference decides whether the product is a conferencing device or a speaker. If you need the microphones, ask us to confirm this part number's configuration with Lenovo before you order. We will not sell you a conferencing bar on a specification we cannot stand behind. Separately, Lenovo marks the United States sibling part 11RTZ9ARUS as End Of Life, and lists this UK part as temporarily unavailable on its own store — so please treat availability as something to confirm with us rather than assume.
And a certification we could not corroborate
Lenovo's 2022 datasheet claims "Microsoft Teams Rooms Certified" and "Zoom Rooms Compatible". Neither Microsoft's current Teams Rooms certified-hardware article nor Zoom's Spaces certified-hardware article contains the ThinkSmart Bar today. ThinkSmart Bar and ThinkSmart Bar 180 are not the same product
They share a name and almost nothing else. The ThinkSmart Bar — this product — is an audio bar with no camera. The ThinkSmart Bar 180 is a video bar with a three-camera system covering 180° horizontally, eight beamforming microphones and stereo speakers, and it ships inside Lenovo's Gen 2 Full Room Kits. If you are comparing quotes and one says "Bar" and another says "Bar 180", they are quoting different things at different prices. Ask us and we will tell you which one the room needs.
Room sizing, in Lenovo's words
Lenovo's datasheet says: "From huddle rooms to boardrooms to home offices, ThinkSmart Bar has the speaker and mic range of 8.5m to accommodate a wide range of room sizes." That 8.5 metre figure is the only hard number Lenovo publishes for it, and it is subject to the microphone question above. No participant counts or room dimensions are published.
What you still need to supply. A camera if you need video, a compute device or room system to pair it with, and any wall or television mounting hardware — Lenovo lists the mounting options but does not publish whether the hardware is in the box.
