Epson EF-12 Projector
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Epson EF-12 EpiqVision Mini Full HD Smart Laser Projector (V11HA14052) - 3 Years Singapore Local Warranty
Android TV Built In, So No Streaming Stick and No Spare HDMI Cable
The EF-12 runs Android TV on board with Chromecast built in, which removes the dongle, the extra power adapter and the second remote that usually sit behind a meeting-room projector. Staff lounges, hotel suites, showroom corners and breakout rooms can pull content straight from the platform's app catalogue or cast from a phone, while an HDMI input with ARC remains available for a laptop, console or set-top box. For facilities teams it means one device to commission and one device to hand over.
Sound by Yamaha in a 2.1 kg Cube — No External Speakers Needed
Where most portable projectors treat audio as an afterthought, the EF-12 carries a 5 W stereo speaker system voiced by Yamaha inside a 175 x 175 x 135 mm chassis. Dialogue stays intelligible without a soundbar, and music and product video carry enough body for a showroom or a lounge. HDMI ARC lets a connected television sound system or soundbar take over when the room is larger, and a 3.5 mm audio output feeds powered speakers. Fan noise stays low at 27 dB(A) normal and 22 dB(A) in economy mode.
Full HD 3LCD with Laser Light Source and 2,500,000:1 Contrast
The EF-12 projects a native Full HD 1080p image from a 0.62-inch 3LCD panel with micro-lens array, lit by a laser diode rather than a lamp. Epson quotes 1,000 lumens of white light output and 1,000 lumens of colour light output — the same figure for both, so colour does not fall away behind the whites — with a dynamic contrast ratio of 2,500,000:1 and up to 1.07 billion colours. Laser gives instant start-up, no cool-down before packing away and no lamp replacements to schedule.
30 to 150 Inches with Automatic Keystone on Both Axes
A 1.00:1 throw ratio puts the EF-12 about as far back as the image is wide — roughly 1.33 metres for a 60-inch picture — so it works from a coffee table, a sideboard or a serving counter. Image sizes run from 30 inches to 150 inches. Both vertical (±34°) and horizontal (±40°) keystone correction are automatic, so the picture squares itself up after the unit is nudged, which is exactly what you want in a room where nobody has time to recalibrate a projector before a meeting.

Compatibility & Installation
Placement and setup
The EF-12 is a tabletop projector. With a 1.00:1 throw ratio it sits about as far back as the image is wide — around 1.33 metres for a 60-inch picture and about 2.2 metres for a 100-inch one. Automatic vertical and horizontal keystone correction means it can be placed off the screen's centre line on a sideboard or counter and still produce a square image. The cube form factor also allows upward projection onto a ceiling.
What it connects to
The HDMI input supports HDCP 2.3 and ARC, so it takes a laptop, a games console, a Blu-ray player, a video bar or a set-top box, and can send audio back out to a compatible soundbar. USB Type-A powers accessories and plays media, USB Type-B is for service and firmware. A 3.5 mm audio output feeds powered speakers where the internal Yamaha system is not enough.
Network, casting and app management
Android TV is built in with Chromecast, so phones, tablets and laptops can cast over the same Wi-Fi network without a cable, and apps are installed on the projector itself. Corporate networks that restrict consumer app stores should plan for an HDMI source instead — the projector works perfectly well as a plain HDMI display.

Frequently Asked Questions — Epson EF-12
How is the EF-12 different from the EF-11?
The EF-12 adds built-in Android TV with Chromecast, a 5 W stereo Yamaha speaker system, HDMI ARC and automatic horizontal keystone correction. It is taller (135 mm against 65 mm) and heavier (2.1 kg against 1.2 kg). Brightness, resolution, contrast and throw ratio are the same on both.
Do I need a streaming stick with it?
No. Android TV is on the projector, so apps run natively and phones can cast via Chromecast. An HDMI input is there if you prefer your own source device.
Is 1,000 lumens bright enough?
It suits controlled light — evening viewing, blinds down or a room without direct daylight on the screen. For a bright daytime room, look at the 3,400-lumen EH-TW750 or an ultra-short-throw laser projection TV such as the EH-LS300B.
Can I run it without external speakers?
Yes. The 5 W stereo system is tuned by Yamaha and handles dialogue, music and product video in a small to medium room. HDMI ARC or the 3.5 mm output can drive a soundbar in a larger space.
How far from the wall does it sit?
Roughly as far back as the image is wide: about 1.33 metres for a 60-inch picture, scaling up to 150 inches maximum.
Does the laser light source need maintenance?
There is no lamp to change. Epson rates the laser light source at up to 20,000 hours, and the unit starts and stops instantly with no cool-down period.
Will it work on a locked-down corporate network?
Android TV features need internet access and an account. If your network policy does not permit that, use the projector as a plain HDMI display from a managed laptop or room PC — all the image specifications are unchanged.
What warranty and invoicing do I get from SourceIT?
