DNV GL-Certified Online UPS for Vessels and Offshore Installations
The Eaton 9PX Marine 9PX3000IRTM is a 3000 VA / 3000 W online double-conversion UPS that Eaton lists as DNV GL certified, for bridge electronics, navigation and communications racks, engine-room control systems and other shipboard or offshore IT. For Singapore shipyards, ship managers and marine system integrators it brings the 9PX platform to installations that need a marine-certified unit.
The load always runs from the inverter as a regenerated 230 V sine wave, so connected equipment is isolated from the sags, spikes and frequency drift common on generator-fed shipboard supplies. Eaton rates it at unity power factor (VA = W), so the full 3000 W is usable.
3U Rack or Tower Installation
Eaton supplies 19-inch mounting brackets, a rack-mounting kit and tower supports in the box, so the 9PX3000IRTM fits a 19-inch equipment rack (3U) or stands as a tower. A cable locking system is included to keep output leads secure.
Wide Input Window and High Efficiency
Eaton specifies an input range of 176–276 V without going to battery (100–276 V with derating) and a 40–70 Hz input frequency window. Efficiency at maximum load is 94% per Eaton, and the unit is ENERGY STAR certified.
Hot-Swappable Batteries and Expandable Runtime
Internal batteries and external battery modules (EBMs) are hot-swappable, so batteries can be serviced without shutting down the protected equipment, and Eaton lists extended battery capability for longer runtime.

Monitoring and Shutdown Software
The HID-compliant USB and RS232 ports work with Eaton Intelligent Power Protector for automatic shutdown and Eaton Intelligent Power Manager for centralised monitoring. Dry contacts and remote on/off / remote power-off terminals allow integration with alarm and emergency-stop circuits. An optional Eaton network card can be fitted in the communication slot for network monitoring.
