True Online Double-Conversion Protection
The Eaton 9E is an online double-conversion UPS rated 1000 VA / 900 W. It rebuilds a clean, regulated sine wave output continuously, so connected equipment is isolated from sags, surges, frequency drift and noise on the incoming supply, with zero transfer time to battery. In a 2U rack chassis it suits network cabinets, edge racks and small server rooms.
Compact 2U Rack Design
Eaton lists a 19-inch rack chassis 86.5 mm high with 4x IEC C13 outputs, an IEC C14 input, 90% efficiency at maximum load, 0.9 output power factor and a noise level below 41 dB at 1 m. Rails, brackets and two IEC-IEC output cables are in the box.
Monitoring and Shutdown
A multilingual LCD, USB (HID) and RS232 ports, a remote power-off terminal and one slot for an optional network card integrate with Eaton Intelligent Power Manager and Intelligent Power Protector for orderly shutdown.

Operating Systems and Software
The USB port is HID compliant, so Windows, macOS and Linux recognise the UPS natively. Eaton Intelligent Power Protector handles single-server shutdown; Eaton Intelligent Power Manager and an optional network card cover multiple servers and virtualised hosts.
Rack Installation
Eaton includes rails and brackets for a standard 19-inch rack. The IEC C14 input plugs into a C13 outlet on a rack PDU.
