The D-Link DXS-3600-32S/EEI delivers 24 fixed 10G SFP+ ports plus one expansion slot in a 1U chassis, with 960 Gbps switching capacity and a 714.28 Mpps forwarding rate for server racks, storage networks and campus aggregation.
Full Layer 3 Routing Included
This part number is the Enhanced Image (EI) version, which adds comprehensive IPv4/IPv6 routing on top of the Standard Image: RIP v1/v2, RIPng, OSPF v2/v3, BGP v4/v4+, IS-IS, VRRP v2/v3, BFD, L3 multicasting, IPv6 tunnelling and MPLS (LDP, VPWS, VPLS, BGP/MPLS VPN).
Expandable and Stackable
The expansion slot takes a 4 x 40G QSFP+, 4 x 10GBASE-T, 8 x 10G SFP+, 8 x Gigabit or 2 x 120G CXP stacking module. With the DXS-3600-EM-Stack, up to 4 switches stack with up to 480G stacking bandwidth; virtual stacking/clustering covers up to 32 units.
Data-Centre Ready and Resilient
Data-centre bridging (802.1Qbb PFC, 802.1Qaz ETS, 802.1Qau QCN) and cut-through switching suit converged storage traffic. Two hot-swappable power modules give 1+1 redundancy and load sharing, and three hot-swappable fan trays give N+1 cooling with front-to-back airflow.

What is the difference between /EEI and /ESI?
The /EEI part number ships with the Enhanced Image (OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, L3 multicast); /ESI ships with the Standard Image (L2, QoS, security, static routing). This listing is the Enhanced Image version; see DXS-3600-32S/ESI for the other option.
How many switches can I stack?
Up to 4 DXS-3600-32S switches physically — up to 480G with the DXS-3600-EM-Stack module (CXP cables such as DEM-CB50CXP) or 160G with the DXS-3600-EM-4QXS — or up to 32 units with virtual stacking.
Can I add 40G or 10GBASE-T ports?
Yes. Fit one expansion module: 4 x 40G QSFP+ (EM-4QXS), 4 x 10GBASE-T (EM-4XT), 8 x 10G SFP+ (EM-8XS) or 8 x Gigabit (EM-8T).
Is the DXS-3600 still current?
D-Link's global product page lists the DXS-3600-32S (hardware B) as Live, while D-Link UK lists the series as End of Sale (phase-out 19 Sep 2022, support until 18 Sep 2027). Please email us to confirm current availability before ordering.
