Mounting and orientation

The supplied stand provides tilt from -5° to 20°. BenQ does not publish a height adjustment figure for the EX251, so if you need the screen set precisely at eye level, use the 100 x 100 mm VESA pattern on the rear with a monitor arm or a wall bracket. Without the base the panel is 339.2 x 557.70 x 81.9 mm.

What it connects to

Two HDMI 2.0 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.2 — BenQ lists 220Hz over both HDMI and DisplayPort on this model, so a console on HDMI and a PC on DisplayPort can both be left connected. A USB Type-C upstream port links the monitor's hub to a computer, feeding two downstream USB Type-A ports for a keyboard and mouse.

Audio

Two 2.5W speakers are built in, and a headphone jack is fitted on the panel. This model does not carry eARC, so a soundbar should be connected to the source device rather than to the monitor.

Software

Colour Shuttle supplies downloadable game-specific colour profiles, and Display QuicKit brings monitor settings onto the desktop instead of the on-screen menu.

Is Full HD still the right choice at 24.5 inches?

For competitive play, yes. At 90 PPI the whole 24.5-inch screen sits inside your field of view without head movement, and 1920 x 1080 is light enough on the GPU that a mid-range card can hold frame rates near the 220Hz ceiling. If you want more desktop area for work as well, step up to the QHD EX271Q.

Does it reach 220Hz on HDMI as well as DisplayPort?

Yes. BenQ lists 220Hz on both HDMI and DisplayPort for this model, which is not always the case in this class — many monitors run their top refresh only on DisplayPort.

Does it have built-in speakers?

Yes, two 2.5W speakers. They are there for casual use and video calls rather than as a substitute for a headset or desktop speakers, and a headphone jack is also fitted.

Can I adjust the height of the stand?

What is HDRi?

HDRi is BenQ's picture processing layer: it combines HDR tone mapping with the ambient light sensing of Brightness Intelligence Plus Gen2, so brightness and tone respond to the room rather than following one fixed curve. The panel itself is certified to VESA DisplayHDR 400 and accepts HDR10.

What is the difference between MOBIUZ and BenQ's EW monitors?

MOBIUZ is BenQ's gaming line — high refresh, low response, FreeSync, Light Tuner and Colour Vibrance. EW is the premium home and entertainment line, built around BenQ AI Contrast, 4K panels and 2.1-channel audio for film and streaming rather than frame rate. The EW2790U is the entry point there.

Is it suitable for a shared or family desk?

It is well suited: built-in speakers, flicker-free operation, TUV-certified Low Blue Light, a Colour Weakness mode and a matte coating that handles overhead lighting, plus EPEAT registration and a modest 18W typical draw.

Does it come with a Singapore warranty and a GST invoice?
