PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
APC Smart-UPS RT 10kVA 230V International (SRTG10KXLI) - 2 Years Local Warranty
10 kVA / 10 kW Double-Conversion On-Line UPS for the Singapore Server Room
The APC Smart-UPS On-Line SRTG10KXLI is a 10,000 VA / 10,000 W double-conversion UPS from the Smart-UPS RT (SRTG) generation, sized for a full-rack server room or a light industrial control room. Incoming mains is rectified to DC and regenerated as a clean sine wave, so the load is fed from the inverter continuously rather than switched across when the supply fails. Output voltage distortion is rated at less than 2%, and an internal automatic and manual bypass carries the load if the inverter is overloaded or taken out for service. On a Singapore riser shared with lifts and chillers, that continuous regeneration is what keeps sags and switching transients away from your servers.
Unity Power Factor, 230 V Single-Phase In and Out
The SRTG10KXLI is a unity power factor design: it delivers the full 10,000 W from its 10,000 VA rating, so you size on real watts with nothing lost to a 0.8 or 0.9 multiplier. Input is 230 V single-phase (220 / 230 / 240 V user-selectable), hard wired through a 3-wire (1P + N + E) terminal block, with a wide 160–285 V window at full load and 100–285 V at half load before the unit has to fall back on its batteries. Output is 230 V at 50/60 Hz ±4 Hz synchronised to mains (±0.1 Hz on battery), on two IEC C13 outlets, one IEC C19 outlet and a hard-wire 3-wire terminal block. Maximum input current is 55 A and full-load output current is 46 A. Unlike the 15 and 20 kVA units in the range, the 5–10 kVA SRTG models are single-phase only — there is no 400 V three-phase input option.
Batteries on a ±96 V Bus, Scalable with the SRTG192XLBP4 Pack
Internal batteries are sealed maintenance-free VRLA, 32 x 12 V 5 Ah cells in four battery modules on a ±96 VDC bus, with the APCRBC174 as the replacement cartridge (quantity 2) and a typical recharge time of 4 hours. Schneider's Smart-UPS RT 5–20 kVA range brochure lists approximately 3 minutes at the full 10,000 W and 10.5 minutes at half load (5,000 W) — a ride-through figure, not autonomy. For generator start-up cover or a multi-server shutdown window, add up to four SRTG192XLBP4 external packs, the 192 V, 5 Ah, 3U pack built for the SRTG 5–10 kVA models. Expected battery life is three to five years; plant-room temperature decides which end you get.
5U Rack or Tower — and the Rail Kit Is Not Included
The SRTG10KXLI is rack / tower convertible in a 217.5 mm (H) x 440 mm (W) x 680 mm (D) chassis, occupying 5U when racked. The extra height over the 4U 5 and 6 kVA units houses the doubled battery complement — 32 cells in four modules. The rail kit is not included: order SRTGRK1 for the UPS (Schneider's product page lists the same kit for the SRTG192XLBP4 pack). Net weight is 101.5 kg (124.5 kg packaged), so this is a planned installation: confirm the cabinet's static load rating, mount it at the bottom and arrange proper handling. Acoustic noise is 58 dBA — a plant room or enclosed rack, not an open office.
Network Management Card 3 Pre-Installed, Colour LCD, Green Mode, Local Singapore Supply
An AP9641 Network Management Card 3 with environmental monitoring is pre-installed, with a one-year Secure NMC subscription per Schneider's listing, so SNMP, HTTPS and PowerChute Network Shutdown work the day it is racked. Local interfaces are serial (RJ45), USB Type B, an EPO terminal with normally-closed contacts, a maintenance-bypass signal (MBS) input and a battery temperature sensor terminal. The multi-colour LCD scrolls input, output, load, battery temperature and charge, runtime and ambient temperature. Green (ECO) mode feeds the load directly from mains at up to 98% efficiency and, per Schneider's manual, returns to inverter or battery within 8 ms of a mains failure; a Generator Mode setting relaxes input sensitivity for sites on standby generators. SourceIT supplies the SRTG10KXLI from Singapore with a GST invoice and local warranty support.

Compatibility & Runtime
What you can connect. Output is delivered on (2) IEC C13, (1) IEC C19 and (1) hard wire 3-wire (1P + N + E) terminal block, the IEC outlets forming two controllable groups on 16 A and 10 A circuits. In practice the IEC outlets feed a rack PDU or top-of-rack devices, and the bulk of the load is wired out through the terminal block. Total the real power draw (watts) of everything you intend to protect and keep it below 10,000 W with headroom.
Runtime at stated loads. Schneider's Smart-UPS RT 5–20 kVA range brochure lists approximately 3 minutes at the full 10,000 W and 10.5 minutes at half load (5,000 W). Runtime is not linear — halving the load more than doubles the time on battery. Recharge time is 4 hours. Ask SourceIT for a runtime calculation against your measured load.
Extended runtime. Connect up to four SRTG192XLBP4 packs in parallel. Each pack is 192 V (±96 V), 5 Ah, 3U, 83.5 kg, and ships with its battery cable and brackets but not the rail kit. The SRTG192XLBP2 is the ±192 V, 9 Ah pack for the 15 and 20 kVA units and does not fit this UPS.
Rack fit. 5U when racked, in a 217.5 mm (H) x 440 mm (W) x 680 mm (D) chassis, rack / tower convertible. The rail kit is not included — order SRTGRK1. At 101.5 kg for the UPS and 83.5 kg per SRTG192XLBP4 pack, a UPS with two packs is 11U and roughly 268 kg: check the cabinet's static load rating and floor loading, and mount everything at the bottom. A 1,000 mm deep cabinet is needed for the 680 mm chassis plus rear cabling.
Input and circuit — read this before ordering. The SRTG10KXLI is hard wired on the input: a 3-wire (1P + N + E) terminal block, no plug, maximum input current 55 A on a 230 V single-phase supply. A licensed electrician must size and terminate the feeder. For a three-phase input, see the SRTG15KXLI or SRTG20KXLI.
Package Contents & Smart-UPS RT (SRTG) Ordering Information
In the box (per Schneider's installation manual): front bezel, RJ45-to-DB9 serial cable, USB cable, one IEC C13/C14 10 A 1.5 m lead, one IEC C19/C20 16 A 1.5 m lead, battery temperature sensor wire, five hard-wire terminals, M5 floating nuts and screws, M4 x 6 screws, two pairs of stabiliser brackets, rack-mount brackets, installation manual and packing list. The AP9641 Network Management Card 3 is pre-installed; the rail kit is not included. The two IEC leads are output jumper leads, not input cords — the input is hard wired, so there is no Schuko plug to worry about.
Schneider's 8 / 10 kVA installation manual also lists the contents of a battery pack it describes as supplied with the UPS — ask SourceIT to confirm your carton contents before a tender.

Frequently Asked Questions — APC SRTG10KXLI
What is the difference between the 10,000 VA and 10,000 W rating, and how do I size the SRTG10KXLI?
VA is apparent power and W is real power. On many UPS families the watt figure is lower and watts is what limits you — but the SRTG10KXLI is a unity power factor design, so it delivers the full 10,000 W. Add up the real draw of everything you want on battery and keep the total below 10,000 W with headroom.
How long will the SRTG10KXLI run on battery?
Schneider's Smart-UPS RT 5–20 kVA range brochure lists approximately 3 minutes at the full 10,000 W and 10.5 minutes at half load (5,000 W). That is deliberately short — a UPS at this capacity is sized to ride through a dip and cover a generator start or an orderly shutdown. For longer autonomy add SRTG192XLBP4 packs, up to four. Recharge time is 4 hours.
Can the SRTG10KXLI take a three-phase supply?
No. The 5, 6, 8 and 10 kVA SRTG models are single-phase only: 230 V in (220 / 230 / 240 V selectable), 230 V out, hard wired through a 3-wire (1P + N + E) terminal block. For a 400 V three-phase input or 3:1 operation, look at the SRTG15KXLI and SRTG20KXLI.
Does the SRTG10KXLI produce a sine wave output, and will it work with an active-PFC power supply?
Yes. It is an on-line double-conversion design with a sine wave output rated at less than 2% voltage distortion, so the load is fed from the inverter continuously. That is the output type active-PFC server and storage power supplies expect.
Which replacement battery does the SRTG10KXLI take?
The APCRBC174, quantity 2. The internal batteries are sealed maintenance-free VRLA, 32 x 12 V 5 Ah cells in four battery modules on a ±96 VDC bus. This is a different cartridge from the APCRBC140 used across the older SRT 5–10 kVA range and the APCRBC172 in the SRTG 15 and 20 kVA units — do not order by analogy. Expected service life is three to five years.
Which external battery pack fits, and how many can I add?
The SRTG192XLBP4 — 192 V (±96 V), 5 Ah, 3U, 83.5 kg — and you can connect up to four in parallel. The SRTG192XLBP2 is a different product for the 15 and 20 kVA units (±192 V, 9 Ah, 4U, 116 kg) and does not connect to this UPS. Each XLBP4 pack ships with its battery cable and mounting brackets but not the rail kit.
How does the SRTG10KXLI compare with the SRTG8KXLI?
Same 5U chassis, 101.5 kg, thirty-two-cell battery set, APCRBC174 cartridges and pre-installed management card. This unit adds 2,000 W over the SRTG8KXLI for the same footprint but needs a heavier supply (55 A maximum input current against 45 A) and its published full-load runtime is shorter (approximately 3 minutes against 4.5). Take this unit if the supply supports it and growth is likely; the SRTG8KXLI if the load is settled and you value the extra minutes. Above 10 kW, the 7U SRTG15KXLI adds a three-phase input option.
Is the SRTG10KXLI covered by warranty in Singapore?
Yes. Every APC SRTG10KXLI sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice; APC backs the SRTG10KXLI with a 3-year manufacturer warranty on the UPS (excluding the battery) and 2 years on the battery.
