The APC SRVRK2 is the longer, stronger of the two Easy UPS On-Line rail kits. Schneider's product page describes it as a β19-inch 900 mm depth rail kit ideal for Easy UPS Rackmount SRV and SRVLβ that can support equipment with a maximum weight of 100 kg β against 60 kg and 780 mm for the standard SRVRK1. That extra capacity is what the 3U external battery packs in the range need: the 240 V SRV240RLBP-9A weighs 63 kg and the Β±120 V SRV120RLBP2-9A 64 kg, both above the SRVRK1 limit.

Why 100 kg on Rails Matters

Rails carry the weight on all four posts and let the pack be drawn forward for inspection or replacement without disturbing the cabling. SRVRK1 or SRVRK2
Choose by weight and depth. Anything up to 60 kg and 780 mm β the UPS chassis and the 2U 36 V / 72 V packs β takes the SRVRK1. Anything heavier, or a cabinet whose posts are further apart than 780 mm, takes the SRVRK2. Both are four-post kits and neither will mount in a two-post rack or a wall cabinet without rear posts.
Cabinet Depth
Measure between the front and rear mounting posts. The 3U packs are 606β686 mm deep before their battery cables, so they belong in an 800 mm or, for the 15 / 20 kVA systems, a 1000 mm cabinet; the rails adjust to suit either as long as the posts are no more than 900 mm apart.
Installation Notes
Schneider's installation guide for the kit mounts the front and rear rail sliders to the posts first, sets the nuts to suit the height of the unit, then slides the pack home and secures it with the front screws. Fit the rails for the lowest pack first and work upwards, and connect the battery cables only after every pack is fixed in position. Two people are needed for the packs themselves; the rails weigh under 3 kg and are a one-person job.

Which units does the SRVRK2 fit?
Schneider describes it as the 900 mm, 100 kg rail kit for Easy UPS Rackmount SRV and SRVL, names it for the battery pack of the 5β10 kVA rack systems, and pictures it with the 15 and 20 kVA kits. In practice that means the 3U SRV240RLBP-9A and SRV120RLBP2-9A packs and the 15 / 20 kVA power module. Send us the part number and we will confirm.
What is the difference from the SRVRK1?
Depth and load. The SRVRK1 adjusts to 780 mm and carries 60 kg; the SRVRK2 adjusts to 900 mm and carries 100 kg. The 3U battery packs weigh 63β64 kg, so they need the SRVRK2.
My system came with a rail kit β do I need another?
Only for additional packs. The RK and RILRK kit part numbers include rails for what is in the carton. Each battery pack you add later needs its own set of rails, and for the 3U packs that is the SRVRK2.
Will it fit a 600 mm or 800 mm cabinet?
The rails adjust to the post-to-post distance, up to 900 mm. The limiting factor is the pack: the 3U packs are 606β686 mm deep before their cables, so a 600 mm cabinet is out and an 800 mm cabinet is the practical minimum. The 15 / 20 kVA kits are best in a 1000 mm cabinet.
Does it need front and rear posts?
Yes. It is a four-post kit. It will not mount in a two-post relay rack or a wall cabinet without rear posts, and a 64 kg pack should not be hung from front brackets alone.
Can I use it for Smart-UPS SRT or RT battery packs?
No. Those ranges use their own kits β the SRTGRK2 for the Smart-UPS RT 192 V packs, for example β and the mounting points differ.
