TP-Link Solar-Powered Pan/Tilt Wi-Fi/4G LTE Security Camera Kit (Tapo C665G KIT) - 2 Years Local Warranty
The Tapo C665G KIT pairs the Tapo C665G 4K 8MP pan/tilt camera with a Tapo A202 solar panel. The camera connects over 4G LTE with a nano SIM or over dual-band Wi-Fi, runs on a built-in rechargeable battery topped up by the panel, and carries free on-device person, pet, vehicle and facial recognition. Camera and solar panel are both rated IP65.
4G LTE or Wi-Fi, Whichever Is Available
A nano SIM slot lets the camera run on a 4G LTE data plan where there is no Wi-Fi, such as a site office, a farm plot or a construction hoarding; the SIM card is not included. Where Wi-Fi is available, the camera supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. TP-Link publishes the LTE bands as LTE-FDD: B1/3/5/7/8/20/28, LTE-TDD: B38/40/41, so check the SIM provider's bands before deployment.
4K Detail with Starlight Colour Night Vision
A 1/2.7" starlight CMOS sensor behind an F1.6, 4.0 mm lens records at 4K 8MP, with 3DNR and WDR. At night the camera uses two 850 nm IR LEDs (up to 10 m) or two built-in spotlights for full-colour images. TP-Link's feature copy quotes 18x digital zoom; its specification table lists the digital zoom as 10.8.
Solar Charging and Battery Life
TP-Link states 45 minutes of direct sunlight powers the camera for a full day, measured under standard conditions (1000 W/m2, 25°C, AM1.5) with up to 100 events a day. The non-removable battery is rated at 270 days in Wi-Fi mode and 70 days in 4G mode, based on Tapo lab tests with 230 seconds of use per day; actual life varies with settings, usage, the SIM provider and environment.
Local AI and 360° Tracking
Person, pet and vehicle detection and facial recognition run without a subscription, and the pan/tilt head (326° mechanical pan for 360° coverage, 53° mechanical tilt for 98° coverage) follows detected subjects. TP-Link notes that the number of automatic 360° scans and recordings is limited per day. Recording goes to a microSD card up to 512 GB (not included) or to Tapo Care cloud storage.
