TP-Link M7000 4G LTE Mobile Wi-Fi
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 4G LTE Mobile Wi-Fi (M7000) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The M7000 is TP-Link's entry 4G LTE Mobile Wi-Fi: a pocket hotspot that turns a data SIM into a private 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network shared with up to 10 wireless devices. It runs on its own 2000 mAh battery, needs no setup beyond inserting the SIM, and is the simplest way to give a laptop, tablet or phone a connection where there is no fixed line.
150 Mbps Down, 50 Mbps Up on 4G LTE
TP-Link rates the M7000's mobile connection at DL: 150 Mbps, UL: 50 Mbps. That 150 Mbps is the 4G downlink ceiling, and it is a different number from the 300 Mbps Wi-Fi rate quoted lower down: the Wi-Fi figure describes the link between the hotspot and your own devices, not the speed you get from the mobile network. Coverage is FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20 (2100/1800/850/2600/900/800 MHz) and TDD-LTE B38/B40/B41 (2600/2300/2500 MHz), with 3G HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS on B1/B5/B8 (2100/850/900 MHz) as fallback.
Up to 8 Hours on a 2000 mAh Battery
Power comes from an internal 2000 mAh rechargeable battery, which TP-Link rates for up to 8 hours of wireless connectivity. Battery life may vary in accordance with environmental conditions. The 2000 mAh battery is listed as a separate item in the box, and an external 5V/1A supply connects over the single micro USB port, so the unit can run from a powered USB source while it is in use.
N300 Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz Only
The wireless side is IEEE 802.11b/g/n at up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz only. There is no 5 GHz radio, which is the trade for the size and the price. Reception sensitivity runs from -87.5dBm at 11b 11Mbps to -68dBm at 11n HT40 MCS7, and transmission power is rated at <20dBm. Security covers WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, wireless MAC filtering and an option to disable SSID broadcast, and a DHCP server, client and client list run on the device itself.
LED Status, tpMiFi and USB Tethering
Rather than a screen, the M7000 uses LED indicators for Wi-Fi status, Internet connection status and battery status. Day-to-day settings such as SSID and password, data allowance and connected clients are handled from TP-Link's tpMiFi app or the web interface. RNDIS is supported for tethering over the USB cable, with a stated system requirement of Windows XP/7/8/10. The unit measures 94 x 56.7 x 19.8 mm, carries a power button and a reset button, and uses internal antennas.
Before You Order: SIM Tray and Bands
The M7000 has one SIM card slot and one micro USB port for power. Check the tray on the unit you receive before you cut or order a SIM. Carrier band support determines real-world performance, so check your provider's LTE bands against the FDD and TDD frequencies quoted above before you buy.
Ideal For
Singapore buyers who need a spare connection that fits in a pocket: contractors and site staff, pop-up counters and events, travellers running a local data SIM, and offices keeping a backup link for when the fixed line goes down. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions — M7000
Does the M7000 come with a SIM card or data plan?
No. The M7000 is a mobile hotspot with one SIM card slot and needs an active data SIM from your own carrier. Insert the SIM, power on, and connect to the Wi-Fi name and password printed inside the battery compartment.
What size SIM does it take, and is an adapter included?
The M7000 has one SIM card slot and no SIM adapter is supplied. Check the tray on the unit you receive before cutting a SIM or ordering one from your carrier.
Is 150 Mbps the Wi-Fi speed or the 4G speed?
150 Mbps is the 4G downlink rate (with 50 Mbps up). The 300 Mbps figure is the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi rate between the hotspot and your devices. They are two different numbers, and your internet speed is limited by the mobile network, not by the Wi-Fi.
Can it run on 5 GHz Wi-Fi?
No. The M7000 has a single 2.4 GHz radio at up to 300 Mbps and shares with up to 10 wireless devices. If you need dual-band Wi-Fi from a hotspot, ask us and we will point you at a current model that publishes it.
How long does the battery last?
TP-Link rates the 2000 mAh battery for up to 8 hours of wireless connectivity, and notes that battery life may vary in accordance with environmental conditions. The unit can also run from a powered USB source while in use.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
3 Years Local Warranty (Singapore); internal battery 6 months. TP-Link limits all internal batteries and battery packs to a six-month replacement warranty. Every M7000 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this in volume?
Yes. Send us the quantity and we will quote, including for fleets of site or event units. Ask for current lead time before committing to a project date.
