TP-Link Festa FS308GP 8-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 4-Port PoE+
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 8-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 4-Port PoE+ (Festa FS308GP) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Festa FS308GP is a fanless eight-port desktop switch in which the first four ports carry PoE+ on a 62 W supply. It is the smallest powered switch in TP-Link's cloud-managed Festa range, sized for a site with a couple of cameras and an access point rather than a floor of them, and managed from the same console as the rest of the estate.
Four PoE+ Ports, Four Plain Gigabit Ports
Ports 1 to 4 support 802.3at PoE+ and 802.3af PoE; ports 5 to 8 are plain Gigabit. The PoE supply is 62 W in total. That fits a small camera set plus an access point, or one PoE+ access point with room for a doorbell controller and a phone. The split matters when you plan the patching — a powered device on port 5 will not come up, which is the most common installation mistake on switches of this shape.
The Only Festa Switch That Publishes Its Power Draw
Uniquely in this range, TP-Link publishes consumption figures for the FS308GP: a maximum of 77.3 W with a 62 W powered device connected, and 2.8 W on standby. Both are stated at 110 V / 60 Hz. TP-Link does not publish a 230 V figure, so treat these as indicative for Singapore mains rather than exact — the standby figure in particular is useful when you are sizing a UPS for a small comms cupboard.
16 Gbps Switching in a Fanless Desktop Body
Switching capacity is 16 Gbps with an 11.90 Mpps forwarding rate, non-blocking across all eight ports, with an 8 K MAC address table, 4.1 Mbit packet buffer and 9 KB jumbo frames. The chassis is fanless and measures 209 x 126 x 26 mm, mounting on a desk or a wall. Operating range is 0–40 °C — check that against a sealed cupboard before committing.
L2+ Features That Belong on a Much Bigger Switch
The FS308GP runs the same L2+ software as the rack-mount Festa switches: 16 IPv4/IPv6 IP interfaces, 32 static routes, DHCP server, DHCP relay and L2 relay, spanning tree, loopback detection, 802.1ab LLDP/LLDP-MED, IGMP snooping, rate limiting, storm control, port isolation, link aggregation, VLANs, and combined and IPv6 access control lists. For a small site that means proper network segmentation — cameras on their own VLAN, guest traffic isolated — without stepping up to a rack switch.
Managed From the Same Console as Every Other Site
Adopted into the Festa Cloud-Based Controller, the switch provisions itself on power-up and is administered from the Festa App or Festa Web Portal alongside the rest of the fleet. Zero-touch provisioning, auto topology, multi-site management, batch firmware upgrading, batch configuration, integrated troubleshooting and alerting all apply, and TP-Link currently provides the cloud access free of charge.
Ideal For
Singapore shops, cafes, small clinics, home offices and branch sites with a handful of PoE devices, and installers who want the smallest managed switch that still segments traffic properly and reports into a central console. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

TP-Link publishes this model's power-consumption figures only at 110 V / 60 Hz and states no 230 V equivalent, so the figures above are reproduced as published rather than converted. Its PoE footnote reads: “PoE budget calculations are based on laboratory testing. The actual PoE power budget is not guaranteed and will vary due to client limitations and environmental factors.” TP-Link publishes no standards-and-protocols, network-media, LED, QoS or recommended-user rows for this model, so none are stated here.
Compatibility & Software Support
Festa is TP-Link's cloud-managed range for small and medium business. Every Festa switch, router and access point is adopted into one Festa Cloud-Based Controller and managed together from the Festa App or the Festa Web Portal, so a multi-site network is configured, monitored and updated from a single view rather than device by device.
| Festa Cloud-Based Controller | Supported — adopt and manage centrally, with zero-touch provisioning and batch configuration |
| Festa App | Supported — remote management from iOS and Android |
| Festa Web Portal | Supported — browser-based central management |
| Cloud Access | Free cloud access, per TP-Link's published Festa terms |
| Standalone Web Management | Supported — the switch can also be configured on its own web interface |
TP-Link publishes this caveat on the Festa range: “Festa currently offers free cloud access for centralized management and reserves the right to apply fees in the future.”

Frequently Asked Questions — Festa FS308GP
Which ports supply PoE?
Ports 1 to 4 only. Ports 5 to 8 are plain Gigabit with no power. If a camera or access point does not come up, check it is patched into the first four ports before troubleshooting anything else.
Why are the power figures quoted at 110 V?
Because that is how TP-Link publishes them. The specification states 77.3 W maximum and 2.8 W standby, both at 110 V / 60 Hz, and gives no 230 V equivalent. We reproduce them as published rather than converting. Ask us if you need a confirmed 230 V figure for a UPS calculation and we will take it up with TP-Link.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Three years local Singapore warranty. Every Festa FS308GP sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Festa build — switching, gateway, access points and optics — with local warranty and support.
