TP-Link Festa FS318GP 18-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 16-Port PoE+
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link 18-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 16-Port PoE+ (Festa FS318GP) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Festa FS318GP is a fanless 18-port rack switch: 16 Gigabit PoE+ ports on a 150 W budget, two Gigabit SFP uplink slots, and cloud management through the Festa Cloud-Based Controller. Because it has no fans it is the Festa switch to specify where the cabinet sits in an office, a clinic reception or a meeting room and noise matters as much as port count.
Fanless, So It Can Live in an Occupied Room
The FS318GP is fanless. That removes the one component most likely to fail in a dusty riser and, more usefully day to day, makes the switch silent enough to sit in a reception area, a consulting room or a small office rather than a dedicated comms room. The trade-off is a narrower thermal envelope: TP-Link rates it 0–45 °C operating, against 0–50 °C for the fan-cooled FS328GP and FS352GP. In an unconditioned Singapore riser that margin is worth checking.
16 PoE+ Ports Sharing 150 W
All 16 RJ45 ports are 802.3at PoE+ and 802.3af PoE compliant with up to 30 W per port, drawn from a 150 W total. That covers a full 16 ports of IP cameras or door controllers at typical draw, or roughly five Wi-Fi 6 access points running at full PoE+ load. TP-Link states the budget comes from laboratory testing and is not guaranteed, varying with connected devices and environment.
36 Gbps Switching and Two SFP Uplinks
Switching capacity is 36 Gbps with a 26.78 Mpps forwarding rate, non-blocking across all 18 interfaces, backed by an 8 K MAC address table, a 4.1 Mbit packet buffer and 9 KB jumbo frames. Two Gigabit SFP slots handle the uplink to a core switch or a fibre run to another part of the building, at the same wire rate as the copper ports.
L2+ Routing, VLANs and Access Control Lists
The FS318GP routes locally: 16 IPv4/IPv6 IP interfaces and 32 static routes mean inter-VLAN traffic need not return to a gateway. It also carries a DHCP server, DHCP relay and L2 relay, spanning tree, loopback detection, 802.1ab LLDP/LLDP-MED for phone and AP discovery, IGMP snooping, rate limiting, storm control, port isolation, link aggregation, and combined and IPv6 access control lists with time-range rules and port or VLAN binding.
One Console for Every Site
Adopted into the Festa Cloud-Based Controller, the switch is provisioned and monitored from the Festa App or Festa Web Portal along with the rest of the Festa estate. Zero-touch provisioning, auto topology, multi-site management, batch firmware upgrading, batch configuration, integrated troubleshooting tools and status alerting are all included, and TP-Link currently provides the cloud access at no charge.
Shallow 1U Chassis With a Lock Point
At 440 x 180 x 44 mm it is the shallowest of the rack-mount Festa switches, which makes it the easiest to fit into a wall box behind a reception desk. It has a physical security lock point and runs on 100–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, correct for Singapore mains. Power cord, rackmount kit and silicon feet are supplied.
Ideal For
Singapore clinics, studios, small offices, showrooms and meeting-room cabinets where a silent switch is needed close to people, and installers fitting a shallow wall-mount rack that still has to power 16 cameras or access points. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

TP-Link's PoE budget footnote reads: “PoE budget calculations are based on laboratory testing. The actual PoE power budget is not guaranteed and will vary due to client limitations and environmental factors.” Note the 0–45 °C operating range, which is narrower than the fan-cooled models in this range. TP-Link publishes no power-consumption or weight figure for this model, so none is stated here.
Compatibility & Software Support
Festa is TP-Link's cloud-managed range for small and medium business. Every Festa switch, router and access point is adopted into one Festa Cloud-Based Controller and managed together from the Festa App or the Festa Web Portal, so a multi-site network is configured, monitored and updated from a single view rather than device by device.
| Festa Cloud-Based Controller | Supported — adopt and manage centrally, with zero-touch provisioning and batch configuration |
| Festa App | Supported — remote management from iOS and Android |
| Festa Web Portal | Supported — browser-based central management |
| Cloud Access | Free cloud access, per TP-Link's published Festa terms |
| Standalone Web Management | Supported — the switch can also be configured on its own web interface |
TP-Link publishes this caveat on the Festa range: “Festa currently offers free cloud access for centralized management and reserves the right to apply fees in the future.”

Frequently Asked Questions — Festa FS318GP
Is fanless a problem in a Singapore riser?
It can be. TP-Link rates the FS318GP for 0–45 °C ambient, where the fan-cooled FS328GP and FS352GP are rated to 50 °C. An unventilated riser or a sealed wall box on a west-facing wall can approach that ceiling. If the cabinet is not air-conditioned or vented, ask us and we will size a fan-cooled alternative instead.
How many access points will 150 W power?
Roughly five Wi-Fi 6 access points at a full 25–30 W PoE+ draw. All 16 ports can be populated if the devices are lower-draw items such as IP cameras, door controllers or VoIP phones. Add up the PoE draw of your actual device list, and treat TP-Link's budget as a laboratory rating rather than a guarantee.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Three years local Singapore warranty. Every Festa FS318GP sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Festa build — switching, gateway, access points and optics — with local warranty and support.
