The Festa FS310GP is a fanless desktop or wall-mount switch with eight Gigabit PoE ports on a 61 W supply and two 100/1000 Mbps SFP slots, managed centrally through the Festa Cloud-Based Controller. It suits the small site — a shop, a studio, a branch office — that needs a handful of powered cameras or access points without a rack.

Eight PoE Ports on a 61 W Supply

The eight Gigabit RJ45 ports are 802.3af/at compliant and share a 61 W supply. That is enough for eight typical IP cameras or door controllers, or around two Wi-Fi 6 access points at full PoE+ draw. Note that TP-Link's own specification for this model lists the row as “PoE Ports: 8 Ports” with a 61 W supply and does not publish a per-port wattage, where its larger siblings explicitly state up to 30 W per port — so plan against the 61 W total rather than a per-port figure.

Fanless and Wall-Mountable, No Rack Needed

The FS310GP is fanless and mounts on a desktop or a wall, measuring 209 x 126 x 26 mm. There is no rackmount kit in the box, unlike the rack-mount models in the range. For a shop back office, a clinic store cupboard or a studio wall it means a silent switch that can be screwed up out of the way. Operating temperature is 0–40 °C, the narrowest in the Festa switch range, which is worth checking against an unventilated cupboard.

20 Gbps Switching With Two SFP Slots

Switching capacity is 20 Gbps with a 14.88 Mpps forwarding rate, non-blocking across all ten interfaces, backed by an 8 K MAC address table, a 4.1 Mbit packet buffer and 9 KB jumbo frame support. The two SFP slots are published as 100/1000 Mbps on this model rather than Gigabit-only, so they will also accept 100 Mbps optics for a legacy fibre run.

L2+ Routing and Access Control on a Desktop Switch

Despite the size, the feature set is the same L2+ platform as the rack models: 16 IPv4/IPv6 IP interfaces, 32 static routes, DHCP server, DHCP relay and L2 relay, spanning tree, loopback detection, 802.1ab LLDP/LLDP-MED, IGMP snooping, rate limiting, storm control, port isolation, link aggregation, VLANs, and combined and IPv6 access control lists with time-range rules and port or VLAN binding.

External Power Adapter, Not a Mains Cord

The FS310GP is powered by an external adapter rated 53.5 V DC at 1.31 A, supplied in the box along with the installation guide and silicon feet. That is a different arrangement from the rack-mount Festa switches, which take a mains cord directly — worth knowing when you are planning cabinet space and socket count, because the adapter brick needs somewhere to sit.

Zero-Touch Provisioning for Small Sites

Adopted into the Festa Cloud-Based Controller, the switch configures itself on power-up and reports into the same console as every other Festa device on the account. Auto topology, multi-site management, batch firmware upgrading, batch configuration, integrated troubleshooting tools and alerting all apply, which is what makes a fleet of small sites practical to run without a visit for every change.
