TP-Link Festa FR365 AX3000 Gigabit VPN WiFi Router
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link AX3000 Gigabit VPN WiFi Router (Festa FR365) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Festa FR365 is a business VPN router with AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 built in: multi-WAN load balancing across up to five WAN ports, 100 IPsec tunnels, a USB 3.0 port for an LTE dongle or storage, and cloud management through the Festa Cloud-Based Controller. It is the all-in-one gateway for a small site that would otherwise need a separate router and access point.
Multi-WAN Load Balancing and Link Backup
The FR365 handles up to five WAN ports plus a USB WAN, which is what lets a small business run two or three broadband lines at once. Intelligent load balance spreads sessions across them, application-optimised routing sends chosen traffic down a chosen link, and link backup with timing and failover switches automatically when a line drops. Online detection watches each link. For a site where an outage costs money, that is cheaper resilience than a leased line.
100 IPsec Tunnels at Around 650 Mbps
VPN is the FR365's main job. TP-Link publishes 100 IPsec tunnels with LAN-to-LAN and client-to-LAN modes, IKE v1 and v2, DES through AES256 encryption, NAT traversal, dead peer detection and perfect forward secrecy, at a measured throughput of roughly 647–658 Mbps depending on the cipher suite. Alongside it are 50 PPTP tunnels, 50 L2TP tunnels and 55 OpenVPN tunnels, with OpenVPN measured at 129.3 Mbps. TP-Link notes the router can act as a VPN client to up to 10 servers.
AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 With Five Detachable Antennas
Wi-Fi is Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), backward compatible with Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4, rated 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz with HE160. Two 3 dBi and three 4.5 dBi detachable antennas cover both bands. OFDMA, beamforming and MU-MIMO are supported, along with WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Personal and Enterprise, a guest network, seamless roaming, and mesh when paired with an EAP that supports it. TP-Link notes 160 MHz operation is 5 GHz only and may be restricted in some regions.
150,000 Concurrent Sessions and 5,100 New Sessions a Second
The hardware is sized for a busy small office: 150,000 concurrent sessions, 5,100 new sessions per second, 128 MB NAND flash and 512 MB DDR4. Those session figures are the number that actually limits a router in practice, far more often than headline throughput — a floor of laptops with dozens of open cloud applications each consumes sessions quickly. TP-Link does not publish a recommended user count for this model, so we do not quote one.
USB 3.0 for an LTE Backup Dongle
The USB 3.0 port takes an LTE dongle as an additional WAN, giving a mobile fallback when every fixed line is down, and it also accepts USB storage. TP-Link maintains a published compatibility list for 4G/3G modems rather than supporting any dongle, so check your intended modem against that list before relying on it — we are happy to check it for you.
Zero-Touch Provisioning and Central Management
Adopted into the Festa Cloud-Based Controller, the FR365 provisions itself on site and is managed from the Festa App or Festa Web Portal with the switches and access points around it. Auto topology, multi-site management, batch firmware upgrading, batch configuration, integrated troubleshooting tools, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, port mirroring, syslog and dynamic DNS are all supported, and TP-Link currently provides the cloud access free of charge.
Ideal For
Singapore small businesses, professional practices and branch sites that need site-to-site VPN, two or more broadband lines with automatic failover, and business Wi-Fi 6 from one box rather than three. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Two points reproduced as TP-Link publishes them rather than harmonised. First, the interface row is headed “Up to 5 WAN Ports and 1 USB WAN Port” while the itemised list beneath it totals six Ethernet ports — ask us to confirm the port count for your design before committing. Second, maximum power consumption is published only as EU 16.8 W (with USB 3.0) / 11.8 W (without) and US 22.7 W / 18.2 W, with no figure labelled for Singapore. TP-Link publishes no recommended user count, no firewall or DoS-defence row and no EAN for this model, and its 1,518-byte forwarding-rate figures are not stated on a comparable basis to the rest of the range, so none of those are quoted here. Maximum wireless rates are physical-layer figures from the IEEE 802.11 standards; actual throughput and coverage vary, and 160 MHz operation is 5 GHz only and may be unavailable in some regions.
Compatibility & Software Support
Festa is TP-Link's cloud-managed range for small and medium business. The gateway, switches and access points on a site are adopted into one Festa Cloud-Based Controller and managed together from the Festa App or the Festa Web Portal, so configuration, firmware and monitoring for several premises run from a single console rather than device by device.
| Festa Cloud-Based Controller | Supported — adopt and manage centrally, with zero-touch provisioning and batch configuration |
| Festa App | Supported — remote management from iOS and Android |
| Festa Web Portal | Supported — browser-based central management |
| Cloud Access | Free cloud access, per TP-Link's published Festa terms |
| Standalone Web Management | Supported — the router can also be configured on its own web interface |
TP-Link publishes this caveat on the Festa range: “Festa currently offers free cloud access for centralized management and reserves the right to apply fees in the future.”

Frequently Asked Questions — Festa FR365
How many broadband lines can the FR365 balance?
TP-Link publishes it as up to five WAN ports plus a USB WAN via an LTE dongle. Note the specification's own itemised port list totals six Ethernet ports against a headline of five WAN — TP-Link does not reconcile the two on its page. Tell us your intended design and we will confirm the working configuration before you order.
Will any 4G dongle work in the USB port?
No. TP-Link maintains a published compatibility list for 4G and 3G modems, and a dongle outside it may not be recognised. Send us the model you intend to use and we will check it against the list before you commit to it as a failover path.
Does it replace a separate access point?
For a small site, usually yes — it has AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 built in with five detachable antennas. For a larger floor you would still add Festa access points and let the FR365 act as the gateway, with mesh supported when paired with an EAP that supports it.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Three years local Singapore warranty. Every Festa FR365 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
