PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link AX1800 Ceiling Mount WiFi 6 Access Point (Festa F61) - 3 Years Local Warranty

The Festa F61 is the AX1800 entry point into TP-Link's Festa line: a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 ceiling access point powered by 802.3af PoE and managed from the free Festa cloud. It suits the small site that wants proper guest portals, VLANs and central management without a controller appliance, a licence, or the per-AP cost of a higher-tier model.

AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz

The F61 delivers 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz over IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, using 2x2 MU-MIMO on both bands. Wi-Fi 6 brings OFDMA, which lets the access point serve several small transmissions inside one airtime slot instead of queueing them, so a room full of phones, tablets and handheld scanners behaves far better than it would on a Wi-Fi 5 AP of similar headline speed. TP-Link notes that OFDMA requires client support.

Rated for 250+ Concurrent Clients Over 115 m2

TP-Link rates the F61 at 250+ concurrent clients and publishes a coverage figure of 115 m2 (1250 ft2). Both figures carry published caveats: actual capacity depends on the wireless environment and client traffic and is generally lower than the maximum association count, and the coverage figure comes from laboratory testing rather than a site survey. Use them to plan a starting AP count, then let the walls and the client mix on your floor decide the final number.

802.3af PoE, So an Ordinary PoE Switch Will Run It

Power comes from 802.3af PoE, 48 V passive PoE, or the included 12 V/1 A DC adapter. Maximum draw is 10.6 W over PoE and 9.6 W on DC for the EU model, which means a standard 802.3af switch port is enough and there is no need for a PoE+ budget. There is a single Gigabit Ethernet port and a reset button, and the AP mounts to a ceiling, a wall or a junction box with the supplied kits.

Festa Cloud, the Festa App and Zero-Touch Provisioning

Management runs through the Festa platform: centralised management, free cloud access, the Festa App for iOS and Android, and zero-touch provisioning so an AP can be claimed before it is shipped to site. Firmware update over the web, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, local and remote syslog, SSH, NTP and LED on/off control are all supported. TP-Link states Festa cloud access is free today and that it reserves the right to apply fees in future.

Captive Portal, WPA3 and Sixteen SSIDs

The F61 supports captive portal authentication, WPA-, WPA2- and WPA3-Personal and Enterprise, 802.1X, VLANs, client isolation and a MAC filter of up to 4,000 entries. Sixteen SSIDs are available, eight per band, with per-SSID or per-client rate limiting and a guest network mode. Mesh, seamless roaming, beamforming, automatic channel selection, band steering, load balancing and airtime fairness complete the wireless feature set.

Ideal For

Singapore shops, cafes, clinics, tuition centres and small offices adding managed Wi-Fi 6 on a modest budget, especially where the existing switch is 802.3af only. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support

The Festa F61 belongs to TP-Link's Festa line, which is managed by the Festa cloud-based controller and the Festa App. Festa is a separate platform from Omada: a Festa access point cannot be adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud Controller, and Omada devices cannot be managed from Festa. Plan the site on one platform or the other.

Festa Cloud Controller Supported - centralised management of Festa APs, switches and gateways from one dashboard
Festa App Supported - iOS and Android
Cloud Access Free cloud access. TP-Link states it reserves the right to apply fees in future
Zero-Touch Provisioning Supported
Omada SDN Controller Not supported - Festa devices are not Omada-adoptable
Standalone Mode Supported - the access point can be configured on its own

Frequently Asked Questions — Festa F61

What is the difference between the Festa F61 and the Festa F65?

The F65 is an AX3000 access point with 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz, HE160 160 MHz channel support and 802.3at PoE. The F61 is AX1800 with 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz, no HE160 row in its specification, and 802.3af PoE. The F61 is the better fit where the switch is 802.3af or the client density is moderate.

Does the F61 come with a power adapter?

Yes. TP-Link includes a 12 V/1 A DC adapter, and the AP also accepts 802.3af PoE or 48 V passive PoE, so you can run it on a single cable where PoE is available.

What warranty does SourceIT provide?

Three years local Singapore warranty. Every Festa F61 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.

Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?

Yes. Send us the floor plan or bill of materials and we will size the access point count and quote the whole Festa build - gateway, switching and access points - with local warranty and support.
