TP-Link Archer AX72 AX5400 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link AX5400 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router (Archer AX72) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Archer AX72 is TP-Link's six-stream AX5400 dual-band router: 4804 Mbps on 5 GHz, 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 4×4 MU-MIMO and six fixed antennas. TP-Link rates it for 64 devices on 5 GHz and 48 on 2.4 GHz, which makes it a sensible choice for a busy family home or a small office.
AX5400 on Six Streams with 4×4 MU-MIMO
The 5 GHz radio is rated 4804 Mbps under 802.11ax with HE160, twice the 5 GHz ceiling of an AX3000 model, and 2.4 GHz adds 574 Mbps. Six streams, 4×4 MU-MIMO and OFDMA let the router serve several clients at once rather than round-robin, and 4T4R improves fault tolerance on each band. HE160 rates require a client that supports 160 MHz channels, and MU-MIMO requires client support too.
Rated for 64 Devices on 5 GHz and 48 on 2.4 GHz
TP-Link publishes an explicit device count for this model: 64 concurrent clients on the 5 GHz band and 48 on 2.4 GHz. That is a useful number when you are sizing a router for a household full of IoT devices, or a shop or small office where staff phones, POS terminals, printers and cameras all sit on the same Wi-Fi. Performance still varies with the applications in use and the physical environment.
Six Antennas, Beamforming and High-Power FEM
Six fixed high-performance antennas form the signal array, Beamforming concentrates transmission towards each connected client, and a high-power front-end module raises output. TP-Link rates coverage at three-bedroom houses. Airtime Fairness prevents an older, slower device from holding the channel disproportionately, and DFS gives access to additional 5 GHz channels where local regulations allow.
Gigabit Ports, USB 3.0 Sharing and OneMesh
Wired networking is one Gigabit WAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports. A USB 3.0 port reads NTFS, exFAT, HFS+ and FAT32 media and serves it over FTP, a media server or Samba, and supports Apple Time Machine. The AX72 is OneMesh-supported, so a compatible TP-Link extender can join it into one seamless network rather than creating a second SSID to hop between.
WPA3, HomeShield and a 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor
Encryption covers WPA3, WPA2, WPA and WPA/WPA2-Enterprise with 802.1x. HomeShield brings real-time IoT protection, a malicious site blocker, intrusion prevention, DDoS attack prevention and a network scanner, alongside the SPI firewall and access control. A 1 GHz dual-core processor handles NAT, QoS and VPN duty; OpenVPN and PPTP run on the server side, with OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP as clients.
Ideal For
Singapore households and small offices with a high device count that want AX5400 wireless and MU-MIMO without paying for multi-gig ports. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty and GST invoice.
