TP-Link 5G AX3000 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router (Archer NX500) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Archer NX500 is a SIM-based 5G router with AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 — 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz — and TP-Link's headline 5G download of up to 4.67 Gbps. It has a Gigabit LAN/WAN port and two Gigabit LAN ports, two SMA-F external antenna interfaces, eight internal 5G/LTE antennas, WAN failover and EasyMesh compatibility.
5G up to 4.67 Gbps
TP-Link headlines the NX500 at up to 4.67 Gbps 5G download. It covers 5G N1/N3/N5/N7/N8/N20/N28/N38/N40/N41/N77/N78, FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28, TDD-LTE B38/B40/B41/B42/B43 and 3G B1/B5/B8. Insert an activated SIM and it connects without further configuration; actual speed depends on coverage and the data plan.
AX3000 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6
Three internal Wi-Fi antennas deliver 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Wireless functions include scheduling, WMM and statistics, and each band gets its own guest network. Encryption is listed as WEP, WPA/WPA2 and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK.
Eight Internal Cellular Antennas plus SMA-F Ports
Eight internal 5G/LTE antennas handle reception, and two external SMA-F antenna interfaces allow optional outdoor or directional antennas where indoor signal is weak. Antennas are not included.
WAN Failover, QoS and Parental Controls
The Gigabit LAN/WAN port lets it run as a conventional router on fibre or cable with WAN failover to 5G. QoS prioritises traffic by device or application, and parental controls, SPI firewall, domain filtering and PPTP/IPSec/OpenVPN VPN are built in. Management covers TP-Link Cloud, local and remote access.

TP-Link's Singapore specification table for the Archer NX500 gives no 5G upload figure and no 4G speed figure — only the 4.67 Gbps headline download — and publishes no weight. WPA3 is not listed for this model. External antennas are not included.

Does it support WAN failover?
Yes. TP-Link lists WAN failover, so a fibre or cable line on the Gigabit WAN/LAN port can fall back to 5G.
Can I add external antennas?
Yes, via the two external SMA-F antenna interfaces. Antennas are sold separately.
How does it differ from the Archer NX505?
Same AX3000 Wi-Fi class and form factor; the NX505 is rated at 6.47 Gbps 5G download against 4.67 Gbps here, lists WPA3, and uses TS-9 rather than SMA-F antenna ports.
