TP-Link Archer C64 AC1200 Wireless MU-MIMO WiFi Router
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link AC1200 Wireless MU-MIMO WiFi Router (Archer C64) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Archer C64 is a compact AC1200 router on a 120 mm square footprint: 867 Mbps on 5 GHz, 400 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, five Gigabit ports, a 1.2 GHz processor and four fixed antennas. It publishes WPA3 and EasyMesh compatibility, which is rare at this price, and fits a smaller flat or a room where the router sits in plain view.
AC1200 Speeds With MU-MIMO
TP-Link rates the C64 at 867 Mbps on 5 GHz using 802.11ac and 400 Mbps on 2.4 GHz using 802.11n — note that 400 Mbps figure, which is higher than the 300 Mbps most AC1200 routers publish on 2.4 GHz. MU-MIMO lets the router serve several capable clients at once rather than one after another, and Airtime Fairness stops a slow legacy device from holding the channel. MU-MIMO requires client devices that also support it.
Four Fixed Antennas in a 120 mm Square Body
Coverage comes from four fixed high-performance antennas and Beamforming, rated by TP-Link at three-bedroom houses. The chassis is 120 × 120 × 27.9 mm — genuinely small for a four-antenna router, and easier to place on a shelf or TV console than the long slab-shaped models in the range. Working modes are Router and Access Point.
Five Gigabit Ports and a 1.2 GHz Processor
The wired side is one Gigabit WAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports, all at full gigabit rather than the 10/100 ports on cheaper Archer C models. TP-Link publishes a 1.2 GHz CPU. Physical controls are a single combined WPS/Reset button, and power is 12 V DC, 1 A. No USB port is published for this model.
WPA3 and EasyMesh
Published encryption is WPA, WPA2, WPA3 and WPA/WPA2-Enterprise with 802.1x. Network security is an SPI firewall, access control and IP and MAC binding. EasyMesh compatibility means the C64 can form a mesh with other EasyMesh devices, including some from other vendors, so coverage can be extended without replacing it. Parental controls are URL filtering and time controls, with QoS by device, and management is through the Tether app or a browser.
Two Gaps Worth Knowing Before You Order
TP-Link publishes no VPN server row for the Archer C64, so it is not the model to choose if you want a router-hosted VPN. Its certification row also reads CE and RoHS only, even though the same page quotes an FCC transmission-power limit. Both are reproduced here exactly as TP-Link publishes them. The page likewise gives an operating temperature and both humidity figures but no storage temperature, and no net weight.
Ideal For
Singapore flats and bedrooms that need a small, tidy router with four full Gigabit ports, WPA3 and EasyMesh headroom, where Wi-Fi 5 speeds are enough. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty and GST invoice.
