The Targus DOCK230USZ-50 is a first-generation Thunderbolt 5 docking station, built for engineering, design and data teams who have outgrown what a USB-C or Thunderbolt 4 dock can push through one cable. Three Thunderbolt 5 downstream ports give it up to 80Gbps of data throughput and up to 120Gbps of display bandwidth per port, so it can drive three 8K displays and still leave headroom that older docks simply do not have.
Triple 8K, One Connector to the Notebook
A single Thunderbolt 5 upstream connection carries video for all three downstream ports, which support single, dual or triple 8K displays depending on what is connected. In the box are a 1.0m passive Thunderbolt 5 cable for the host connection and two 2m USB-C to HDMI 8K cables for displays that only have an HDMI input - so getting to three screens does not mean sourcing extra cables separately.
140W EPR Power and Two-PC Thunderbolt Share
Power Delivery 3.1 EPR gives the DOCK230USZ-50 up to 140W to the primary host (100W under standard PD 3.0, plus 15W to a second connected host), enough headroom for high-draw mobile workstations that many docks cannot fully charge. The dock also supports Intel Thunderbolt Share technology, with the license included, which lets two PCs connected to the same dock share a keyboard, mouse, displays and even files without extra software licensing. It is built from up to 75% post-consumer recycled aluminum and plastic, and carries integrated standard and nano security lock slots plus VESA mount compatibility for fixing it out of the way of the desk.

Compatibility
Host connection. Requires a Thunderbolt 5 host port for the dock's full triple-8K, 80Gbps data and 140W EPR capability. Thunderbolt 5 is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 and USB4 hosts, but connecting to an earlier-generation port lowers the achievable bandwidth, display count and power delivery below the Thunderbolt 5 figures quoted above.
Operating systems. Supports Windows and macOS hosts with Thunderbolt support. Confirm your specific notebook's Thunderbolt generation before ordering if triple-8K output is a requirement.
Monitor compatibility. Displays with Thunderbolt/USB-C DisplayPort input connect directly to the three downstream ports; HDMI-only displays use the two included USB-C to HDMI 8K cables.
Thunderbolt Share. The two-PC sharing feature requires both connected computers to support Intel Thunderbolt Share and be connected to the same DOCK230USZ-50.
