Mounting and orientation
The QM43C uses a 200 x 200 mm VESA pattern and is 28.5 mm deep, so it sits close to the wall on a slim commercial bracket. Samsung supports both landscape and portrait installation, and the even 11.5 mm bezel means a rotated screen keeps the same border on all four sides — useful for lift-lobby directories, queue displays and narrow shop-front columns. At 8.8 kg the panel is within the load rating of common commercial mounts, but confirm the bracket and the wall substrate before installation. Wall mounts and floor stands are ordered separately.
What it connects to
Three HDMI 2.0 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.2 input cover notebooks, room PCs, video conferencing codecs, Blu-ray and camera feeds; two USB ports take a thumb drive for local playback or a firmware update. RS232C in and out plus IR in allow the QM43C to be driven from a room control system, and the daisy-chained serial connection suits a row of screens under one controller. Frequently Asked Questions — Samsung QM43C
What is the difference between the QMC series and the QBC series?
Duty rating and brightness. The QM43C and the rest of the QMC line are rated for 24/7 continuous operation at 500 nit. The QBC series is rated for 16/7 at 350 nit. If the screen is switched off overnight and sits away from direct daylight, QBC is usually enough; if it runs around the clock, or faces a glazed shopfront or a bright atrium, the QMC specification is the one to quote.
Does the QM43C need an external media player?
No, not for standard signage. Tizen 7.0 and 16 GB of onboard storage run scheduled playlists on the display itself, and Samsung VXT or MagicINFO manage that content over the network. An external player is only worth adding when the content source is something the panel cannot run natively, such as a specialist third-party application or a live production feed.
Can the QM43C be mounted in portrait?
Yes. Samsung supports landscape and portrait installation, and the 11.5 mm bezel is even on all four sides, so a rotated screen keeps the same border all round. Use the 200 x 200 mm VESA pattern with a bracket rated for the 8.8 kg panel weight, and set the display orientation in the on-screen menu so content renders the right way up.
Is this a touch screen?
No. The QM43C is a non-touch commercial display. Samsung’s touch models in this family carry a -T suffix in the model name and a T in the part number. If the deployment needs interactive wayfinding or a self-service kiosk, ask SourceIT to quote a touch model instead.
What do the letters in the part number mean?
