The QB50C covers the gap between a counter-side 43-inch panel and a 55-inch feature screen. In a wider retail unit, a food and beverage ordering wall or a corporate lift lobby, the extra 7 inches of diagonal buys readable type from several metres further back without asking for more wall than the bay allows. The 3,840 x 2,160 panel holds a 0.285 mm pixel pitch, so menu boards, tariff tables and bilingual wayfinding stay legible close up as well as at distance.
350 Nit and 4,000:1 Contrast Tuned for Indoor Commercial Light
A 350 nit panel with a 4,000:1 contrast ratio and NTSC 72% colour gamut is specified for interior commercial lighting: mall concourses, hotel lobbies, showrooms and reception areas. Brand colours hold their intended values instead of washing out, and dark artwork keeps its separation under downlights. This is an indoor signage specification rather than a window-facing one, so for a shopfront panel aimed directly at street glare, a higher-brightness Samsung series is the better fit and we are happy to advise on it.

An even 11.5 mm bezel on all four sides means it looks correct rotated, so a portrait wayfinding or promotional pillar is a supported installation rather than a workaround. It takes a standard 200 x 200 VESA pattern, so most existing brackets in the field will accept it directly.

Compatibility & Installation
Mounting and orientation
The QB50C uses a 200 x 200 mm VESA mount pattern with the fixing holes centred on the back of the set, and the chassis is 28.5 mm deep so it sits close to the wall on a slim-fit bracket. Landscape and portrait are both supported and the bezel is even on all four sides, so a rotated installation looks intentional. Set weight is 11.8 kg - check that any bracket you already own is rated for that load and, if you are rotating the screen, for portrait use. Samsung's WMN-B50SC slim-fit wall mount and STN-L4355C stand are available separately and we can quote either with the display.
What it connects to
Three HDMI 2.0 inputs accept laptops, room systems, video conferencing codecs, cameras, Blu-ray and set-top sources at up to 3,840 x 2,160. Two USB 2.0 ports take local media for playback straight from a drive. Audio leaves through a stereo mini jack to a sound bar or a ceiling system where the 10 W x 2 built-in speakers are not enough for the room. For wired control by an AV integrator or a building management system there is RS232C in and out plus an IR input for a repeater, which is what you need when the panel is mounted behind a fascia.
Network and content management
The display runs Tizen 7.0 with 8 GB of onboard storage, so scheduled content plays without an external media player. Connect over RJ45 or dual-band Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. Samsung VXT is the current cloud CMS for scheduling, playlists and multi-site publishing, and the panel is ready for a MagicINFO estate as well. SmartThings Pro covers the device side: remote power scheduling, on and off status, and firmware oversight across the fleet from one console. Smart Calibration lets you match colour across several panels from a mobile device.

QBC panels share the same platform, so a mixed-size estate is managed as one fleet from the same console. Frequently Asked Questions — Samsung QB50C
Is the QB50C meant to run all day, every day?
Samsung rates the QB50C for 16 hours a day, seven days a week. That covers the opening hours of a retail unit, a lobby, a clinic or a corporate floor with margin. It is not a 24/7 rating, so for a control room, a transport hub or any site that never switches the screen off, ask us about Samsung's 24/7-rated signage series instead - we would rather put the right panel on the wall than have a 16/7 display run outside its specification.
Do I need a separate media player with it?
No. The QB50C runs Tizen 7.0 on a CA53 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with 8 GB of internal storage, so it plays scheduled content by itself. Samsung VXT handles cloud scheduling across sites, and it works on a MagicINFO estate as well. You would only add an external player if you need an application the platform does not run, such as a bespoke interactive front end.
Can it be mounted in portrait?
Yes. Portrait orientation is supported, and the bezel is even on all four sides so it looks correct rotated. It uses a 200 x 200 mm VESA pattern; make sure the bracket you choose is rated for portrait use and for the 11.8 kg set weight, as not every landscape bracket is.
Is 350 nit bright enough for my space?
350 nit is specified for indoor commercial lighting - malls, lobbies, receptions, showrooms, meeting rooms and hospitality areas. It is not specified for a window position facing direct sunlight, where reflected daylight will beat it. If the screen faces a shopfront or a fully glazed facade, tell us the orientation and we will quote a higher-brightness Samsung series instead.
What do the letters in LH50QBCEBGCXXS actually mean?
Reading it Samsung's way: LH marks a commercial display, the two digits are the screen size, QBC is the series, and the trailing letters identify the panel variant and the regional model. XXS is the code for Singapore stock, which is what matters for local warranty and support - a set carried in from another market will carry that market's code and its warranty stays there.
How many sources can I leave plugged in?
Three, on HDMI 2.0, plus two USB 2.0 ports for local media. Network is RJ45 or dual-band Wi-Fi, and there is Bluetooth as well. For integrator control there is RS232C in and out and an IR input, so a room controller or building management system has a wired path to the display.
How does it compare with the QB55C?
Same panel technology, same Tizen 7.0 platform, same 350 nit and 4,000:1 specification, same port set - the difference is diagonal, physical size, weight and power draw. Choose on viewing distance and available wall first. The QB50C draws 132 W typical in on mode; the larger model draws more, which is worth checking against the circuit if you are hanging several.
What warranty comes with it in Singapore?
Every QB50C we sell carries local Singapore warranty and ships with a GST invoice. That means support is handled here rather than through a grey-import channel, and your finance team gets a compliant tax invoice for the purchase.
