The Samsung EM32D draws power only when the image changes. Once a page is rendered, the colour E-Paper panel holds it at 0 W indefinitely, because the pigment stays where it was placed with no backlight and no refresh cycle behind it. An embedded battery recharged over USB-C then frees the display from a power point at the mounting position, which removes the single most expensive line in most signage installations: running mains to a wall, pillar, window or shelf that was never wired for it. The screen can hang where the message belongs.
No Electrician, No Trunking, No Reinstatement When the Layout Changes
Because there is no cable at the fixture, an EM32D can be placed against a heritage wall, a glass partition, a lift lobby pillar or a pop-up counter without a licensed electrical works order, surface trunking or a permit from building management.
