EncorePro 510D Digital QD Contact-Centre Headset
The Poly EncorePro 510D is the single-ear, digital Quick Disconnect build of Poly's EncorePro 500 Series contact-centre headset. It pairs a noise-cancelling boom microphone with a 30 mm wideband speaker in a 52 g over-the-head frame, and leaves one ear open so an agent stays aware of the floor around them.
Noise-Cancelling Microphone and Wideband Audio
HP specifies a noise-cancelling boom microphone running 20 Hz to 16 kHz, on a boom that is 135 mm long and rotates through 290° so it can be positioned correctly on either side of the head. The receive side uses a 30 mm speaker covering 150 Hz to 6.8 kHz of wideband audio — the range that carries speech clearly on a long shift.

Single-ear is the default choice on a supervised contact-centre floor and at reception. The open ear keeps the agent in the room — able to hear a team lead, a colleague or a walk-up customer — while the noise-cancelling microphone keeps the neighbouring desk out of the call.
Digital Quick Disconnect: What You Also Need to Order
This is a Quick Disconnect headset, which means it is the headset half of a two-part system: it has no USB plug and no 3.5 mm jack of its own, and it will not connect to a computer or a desk phone on its own. It clicks into a Poly QD audio processor or amplifier, which is what actually plugs into the PC or the phone. The advantage is that an agent can unclip and walk away in a second, and the adapter stays at the desk for the next shift. What is the difference between the Digital QD and the standard QD version of the EncorePro 510?
They are the same headset acoustically — the difference is the Quick Disconnect connector, and therefore which Poly adapter they mate with. Poly's digital QD build and its standard analogue QD build are not interchangeable on the same audio processor. If you already have adapters at the desks, tell us which ones and we will match the headset to them; if you are buying from scratch we will quote headset and adapter together.
Do I need to buy anything else to use this headset?
Yes, and this is the single most common ordering mistake with Quick Disconnect headsets. The headset has no USB plug and no 3.5 mm jack. It requires a Poly QD USB audio processor to reach a computer, or a Poly QD telephone amplifier to reach a desk phone. Neither is in the box. SourceIT will quote the right adapter alongside the headset — just tell us what the agents are calling from.
Should I choose the 510D or the 520D?
The 510D covers one ear and the 520D covers both. Choose the single-ear 510D where agents need to stay aware of the room — supervised floors, reception, anywhere colleagues speak to each other across desks. Choose the EncorePro 520D where the room is loud and the agent needs to shut it out. Everything else — microphone, speaker, cable, hearing protection — is identical.

Both series publish the same 150 Hz to 6.8 kHz speaker bandwidth — the 700 Series is about build, comfort and finish rather than a different audio specification.
