PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Logitech Rally Speaker (960-001230) - 2 Years Local Warranty
Expansion Speaker for Logitech Rally and Rally Plus Conference Room Systems
The Logitech Rally Speaker is the dedicated speaker component of the modular Rally conferencing system. It is not a standalone USB speaker β it connects by captive Mini XLR cable to a Rally Display Hub, which supplies both signal and power. Buy it to add a second speaker to a Rally system, or as a spare or replacement for an existing Rally deployment.
76 mm Rare-Earth Driver Tuned for Speech Clarity in Meeting Rooms
A single 76 mm (3-inch) high-performance driver with a rare-earth magnet delivers 95 dB SPL at 1 W and 100 dB SPL at 7.5 W, measured at half a metre. Frequency response runs from 200 Hz to 20 kHz at a 48 kHz sampling rate, with distortion held under 2.5% in the 200β300 Hz band and under 1% from 300 Hz to 10 kHz. The result is intelligible speech at the far end of a boardroom rather than the boomy, indistinct sound of a displayβs built-in speakers.
Simple Mini XLR Connection, No Separate Power Supply
The captive Mini XLR cable is 2.95 m (9.6 ft) and carries both audio and power from the Rally Display Hub, so there is no power brick to hide and no extra outlet to find. If the speaker needs to sit further from the hub, Logitech supports a customer-supplied Mini XLR extension of up to 3 m. A Rally system supports a maximum of two speakers in total.
Slim Under-Display Form Factor
At 103 x 449 x 80 mm and 1,645 g, the Rally Speaker is designed to sit discreetly beneath a display or on a credenza in a meeting room. In a stereo pair the two speakers are labelled left and right at the Display Hub, giving you proper stereo separation across a wide room β which is exactly what Rally Plus ships with as standard.

Frequently Asked Questions β Logitech Rally Speaker
Can I use the Rally Speaker with a Rally Bar or as a standalone USB speaker?
No. The Rally Speaker has only a captive Mini XLR connection that must plug into a Rally Display Hub, and it takes its power from that hub. It will not work with Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, Rally Bar Huddle or MeetUp, which are all-in-one bars with integrated speakers, and it cannot be connected to a laptop over USB or Bluetooth.
How many Rally Speakers can one system have?
Two. That is the published maximum for a Rally system. Rally ships with one, so you can add a single speaker; Rally Plus already ships with two and cannot take a third.
Does it need its own power supply or a wall socket?
No. The single captive Mini XLR cable carries both the audio signal and power from the Rally Display Hub, which is one of the neater aspects of the Rally design. No power brick, no extra outlet.
What if the speaker needs to sit further than 2.95 m from the hub?
The captive cable is 2.95 m, and Logitech supports a customer-supplied Mini XLR extension of up to a further 3 m. Beyond that you would need to reposition the Display Hub. SourceIT can help plan cable runs before installation.
Is the Rally Speaker certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms?
Not on its own. Certification belongs to the complete Rally or Rally Plus system, which Logitech lists as certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Google Meet and Tencent. The speaker inherits that as part of the system; it holds no separate certification, and we would rather say so than overstate it.
Can I add microphone coverage the same way?
Yes, and with far more headroom. A Rally system supports up to seven daisy-chained Rally Mic Pods, each covering a 4.5 m diameter, for up to 46 seats. The Rally Mic Pod Hub helps with larger pod counts.
Is this the same speaker that ships inside a Rally system?
Yes, it is the identical component (Logitech model V-U0048), sold separately so you can expand a Rally room or replace a unit outside warranty without buying a whole system.
Does the Rally Speaker come with a Singapore warranty?
Yes. Every Logitech Rally Speaker sold by SourceIT comes with 2 years local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
