PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Lenovo ThinkVision T27QD-4v (64B8UAR1MY) - 3 Years Local Warranty

The Fully Equipped 27-Inch: QHD, 100 W Dock, 5 MP Camera and Microsoft Teams Certification

The ThinkVision T27QD-4v is the most complete monitor in this range. 2560 x 1440 at 350 cd/m², a 100 W USB-C dock, gigabit Ethernet, a DisplayPort 1.4 output, a 5.0-megapixel IR and RGB camera with Windows Hello, an integrated microphone, 5 W x 2 speakers, a 3.5 mm audio combo jack and an explicit Microsoft Teams certification.

The Only Monitor in This Generation With an Audio Jack

A small detail with real consequences: of the twelve monitors in this -40 range, this is the only one Lenovo publishes with a 3.5 mm audio jack. Every other model routes headphones back to the PC. If a user wants to plug a headset into the screen in front of them, this is the SKU.

Everything on One Cable, Including the Camera

One USB-C connection carries the picture, up to 100 W of charging, a wired gigabit network, three USB ports, the camera, the microphone and the speakers. For a hot desk or a small meeting room this replaces a monitor, a dock, a webcam and a speakerphone with a single item to buy, mount and support.

The Camera Housing Changes the Look

The camera and 5 W speakers need a 41.6 mm bottom bezel against 11.5 mm on the T27QD-40, and a 3-side NearEdgeless chassis rather than 4-side ultra-thin. It is a visibly chunkier monitor. Whether that matters depends on whether the desk would otherwise carry a separate webcam and speakerphone anyway.

Specification note. Every figure on this page is taken from Lenovo's own PSREF specification sheet for the ThinkVision T27QD-4v, with any item drawn from Lenovo's product datasheet instead labelled as such in the table. Lenovo publishes monitor specifications per model rather than per part number — the PSREF sheet we link does not itself list this SKU, and the suffix on a part number governs market and packaging rather than the panel or the ports. Where Lenovo publishes no figure, this page says so rather than estimating one, and where two Lenovo documents disagree we show the disagreement. Specifications and prices are subject to change by Lenovo without notice.

Compatibility & Fit

What "docking" means on this monitor, precisely. One USB-C cable from the laptop carries the picture, up to 100 W of charging, gigabit-class Ethernet from the monitor's RJ45 port, and the downstream USB ports. Close the laptop lid, plug in one cable, and the desk is live. Check your machine's own power requirement against that figure first — it covers the great majority of business ultrabooks, but a mobile workstation with a 170 W adapter should keep using it.

What replacing four devices with one is actually worth. A conventional hot desk needs a monitor, a dock, a webcam and a speakerphone — four purchases, four power supplies where applicable, four things to mount, four things that can be unplugged and lost. This monitor is one item with one cable to the laptop. For a floor of shared desks the support saving usually outweighs the price difference within a year.

Decoding the model names in this range, because the letters do real work and Lenovo does not publish a key. D means USB-C docking — a 100 W upstream port with DisplayPort Alt Mode, Ethernet and usually a DisplayPort output. v means video conferencing — a built-in 5-megapixel IR and RGB camera with Windows Hello and a microphone. t means touch. Q means QHD, UD means 4K UHD and WD means an ultrawide. So a T24-4v has the camera but no dock, while a T24D-4v has both. These are read off Lenovo's own product titles rather than from a naming document, because Lenovo publishes none.

The Teams certification. Lenovo publishes an explicit Microsoft Teams certification for this model. Among the 27-inch monitors in this range it is the only one, and it is the reason to specify this SKU where procurement requires certified conferencing endpoints.

The audio jack is not a small thing. Every other monitor in this generation routes headphones back to the PC. Here there is a 3.5 mm combo jack on the monitor itself, which on a desk where the laptop lives closed in a stand is the difference between reaching for the screen and reaching under the desk.

Power draw is higher, and that is expected. 23.4 W typical against 19.5 W on the camera-less T27QD-40, with an F-class EU energy label. The camera, microphone and 5 W speakers account for it. If your building has a strict energy-label requirement, that F class is worth checking before the tender goes in.

PSREF is Lenovo's own Product Specifications Reference and is the source for every figure on this page unless the table says otherwise. PSREF publishes its spec sheets per model rather than per part number, so this SKU does not appear inside the PDF itself; a per-part-number detail page also exists at psref.lenovo.com and will render in a normal browser if you need this exact configuration confirmed before ordering. Ask us and we will pull it for you.

Frequently Asked Questions — Lenovo ThinkVision T27QD-4v

Is this the Teams-certified 27-inch?

Yes. Lenovo publishes an explicit Microsoft Teams certification for the T27QD-4v. None of the other 27-inch models in this range carries one.

Can I plug headphones into the monitor?

Yes — and this is the only monitor in this generation where you can. Lenovo publishes a 3.5 mm audio combo jack (in and out) on this model only. Every other model in the range routes audio back to the PC.

Does the camera have a privacy shutter?

Lenovo publishes no privacy shutter, and no pop-up or retractable mechanism, for this model. We will not describe one that Lenovo does not document. If a physical shutter is a site requirement, ask us and we will get a written answer from Lenovo before you order.

How is it different from the T27QD-40?

Same dock, same QHD panel. This model adds a 5-megapixel IR and RGB camera with Windows Hello, an integrated microphone, 5 W x 2 speakers, a 3.5 mm audio combo jack and Microsoft Teams certification. It costs more power (23.4 W typical against 19.5 W), has a thicker bottom bezel, and carries an F-class EU energy label against the T27QD-40's E.

Does one cable really run everything?

Yes: picture, up to 100 W charging, gigabit Ethernet, three USB ports, the camera, the microphone and the speakers, all over one USB-C cable to the laptop. Check your laptop's own power requirement against 100 W if it is a mobile workstation.

What warranty applies in Singapore?

Lenovo PSREF states a 3-year limited warranty as the base warranty for this model, and every unit SourceIT sells comes with local Singapore warranty support and a GST invoice.
