The ThinkVision T24-40 brings the newer generation's panel to the standard office size: 1500:1 typical contrast where the previous T24i-30 published 1000:1, a 48–120 Hz refresh range against a fixed 60 Hz, and a bottom bezel cut from 17.1 mm to 10.5 mm in a 4-side ultra-thin design.
It Is Not a Docking Monitor — and We Would Rather You Knew Now
There is a USB-C port on this display, but it is a downstream, data-only port rated at 15 W. It carries no video and will not charge a laptop meaningfully. If you want one cable to the laptop, the T24D-40 is the docking version of this same panel, with 100 W USB-C, gigabit Ethernet and speakers. It is linked below.
99% sRGB, 99% BT.709 and 12 W Typical
Lenovo publishes 99% sRGB and 99% BT.709 coverage (CIE 1931), with consumption of just 12 W typical — an ENERGY STAR power-on figure of 11.6 W and a TEC of 38.6 kWh. It carries TCO Certified generation 10, EPEAT Gold, Eyesafe 2.0 and a C-class EU energy label, the best in this generation of ThinkVision.
A Full Ergonomic Stand, and No Speakers
155 mm of height adjustment, 45° swivel each way, -90° to +90° pivot, VESA 100 x 100 mm. There are no built-in speakers and no headphone jack on this model — Lenovo offers the MS30 Monitor Soundbar as a clip-on accessory, sold separately.

Compatibility & Fit
Read this before you assume it docks. This monitor has a USB-C port, but it is a downstream, data-only port rated at 15 W. It carries no video and will not usefully charge a laptop. Lenovo reserves single-cable docking for the D models in this range — the T24D-40, T24D-4v, T24D-4t, T27QD-40, T27QD-4v, T27UD-40, T32UD-40 and T34WD-40 — which have a USB-C upstream port with DisplayPort Alt Mode, 100 W power delivery and Ethernet. They are all linked in the ordering table below. If one cable to the laptop is what you need, buy one of those instead; if the monitor will sit on a desktop PC, this model gives you the same panel for less.
Decoding the model names in this range, because the letters do real work and Lenovo does not publish a key. D means USB-C docking — a 100 W upstream port with DisplayPort Alt Mode, Ethernet and usually a DisplayPort output. v means video conferencing — a built-in 5-megapixel IR and RGB camera with Windows Hello and a microphone. t means touch. Q means QHD, UD means 4K UHD and WD means an ultrawide. So a T24-4v has the camera but no dock, while a T24D-4v has both. These are read off Lenovo's own product titles rather than from a naming document, because Lenovo publishes none.
What the panel upgrade actually buys you. Against the previous-generation T24i-30, this model raises contrast from 1000:1 to 1500:1, adds a 48–120 Hz refresh range, drops typical power from 14 W to 12 W, moves from TCO 9.0 to TCO generation 10, and slims the bottom bezel from 17.1 mm to 10.5 mm. The resolution and brightness are unchanged.
Cables: check what actually ships. Lenovo footnotes the HDMI cable to two Brazilian model codes only. For this part number the box contains a DisplayPort 1.2 cable and no HDMI cable. If HDMI is how the desk connects, tell us and we will add one.
Audio. No speakers and, unusually, no 3.5 mm audio-out either — there is no audio path through this monitor at all. Sound comes from the PC. If the desk needs monitor audio, the MS30 Monitor Soundbar clips to this chassis and is a separate purchase.

Can I dock my laptop to it with one USB-C cable?
No. The USB-C port on the T24-40 is downstream and data-only at 15 W — no video, no meaningful charging. The docking version of this panel is the T24D-40, which has a 100 W USB-C upstream port, gigabit Ethernet, DisplayPort out and built-in speakers. It is linked in the ordering table above.
Does it have speakers or a headphone socket?
Neither. Lenovo publishes no speakers and no 3.5 mm audio jack for this model — there is no audio path through the monitor at all. The MS30 Monitor Soundbar clips onto the chassis as a separate purchase; ask us to quote one.
Is a 120 Hz refresh rate useful in an office?
Marginally, and honestly. Scrolling and mouse movement look smoother; nothing in normal office work depends on it. The more meaningful upgrades in this generation are the 1500:1 contrast and the lower power draw.
What is in the box — HDMI or DisplayPort?
DisplayPort. Lenovo restricts the HDMI cable to two Brazilian model codes, so this part number ships with a DisplayPort 1.2 cable, a USB-B to USB-A cable and a power cable. Ask us to add an HDMI cable if you need one.
What warranty applies in Singapore?
