The ThinkVision P32p-30 is a 3840 x 2160 31.5-inch display with Thunderbolt 4 rather than plain USB-C: a Thunderbolt 4 input delivering up to 100 W and a Thunderbolt 4 output at 27 W for chaining. Lenovo publishes 100% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3 (CIE 1976) at 10-bit, calibrated to average Delta E under 2.
Thunderbolt 4 Is Not the Same Thing as USB-C, and the Difference Is Real
A Thunderbolt 4 port guarantees 40 Gbps of bandwidth, PCIe tunnelling and a certified minimum feature set β where "USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode" can mean many different things depending on the host. On a 4K panel that matters: the connection has headroom to spare, and a Thunderbolt 4 cable is supplied in the box. Note that a Thunderbolt host is needed to get Thunderbolt behaviour; a USB-C-only laptop will still drive the display, but as USB-C.
Daisy-Chain Two More Displays
Lenovo's datasheet states that daisy-chaining up to two additional displays is possible from this monitor. Combined with the KVM switch and Picture-by-Picture that Lenovo also publishes for it, this is a monitor designed to sit at the centre of a multi-machine, multi-screen desk.
Two Things It Does Not Have, Compared With the Newer -40 Models
Power delivery stops at 100 W rather than 140 W, and Ethernet is gigabit rather than 2.5-gigabit. It is also on TCO Certified 9.0 where the -40 generation is on generation 10. What it has that they do not is a Thunderbolt 4 output, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a published daisy-chain figure.

Compatibility & Fit
What actually separates the P-series from the T-series. Lenovo's own marketing puts the P-series under "Best-in-Class Performance for Leading Professionals" and the T-series under "Enhanced Productivity for Modern Taskers", but it never states in prose that colour accuracy is the dividing line. The evidence is in the specification sheets instead: most P-series models publish a factory calibration figure of Delta E under 2 and ship a printed calibration report in the box, and T-series models do not. That is the difference we are willing to stand behind, and it is why this page cites the per-model figure rather than a slogan.
What Thunderbolt 4 buys you over USB-C. Thunderbolt 4 is a certified standard with guaranteed minimums: 40 Gbps of bandwidth, PCIe tunnelling, and support for two 4K displays or one 8K from a single port. "USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode" guarantees none of that β what you get depends entirely on the host. On a 4K panel that also carries Ethernet, four USB ports and 100 W of charging, the headroom is not academic. A Thunderbolt 4 cable is supplied, which matters because a generic USB-C cable will not carry Thunderbolt.
If your laptop is not a Thunderbolt machine, it will still work β the port accepts USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode and delivers power the same way. You simply get USB-C behaviour rather than Thunderbolt behaviour, which for a single 4K display is generally fine. Tell us the laptop model and we will tell you which you will get.
The Thunderbolt 4 output is how you chain. Unlike most monitors in this range there is no DisplayPort out; instead the Thunderbolt 4 output carries a further display or device at up to 27 W. Lenovo's datasheet states up to two additional displays can be chained. The practical limit depends on the host's Thunderbolt topology β tell us the layout and we will work it through.
Colour, precisely. 100% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3 at 10-bit, calibrated to Delta E under 2 with a printed report. Note that Lenovo publishes no HDR claim at all for this model β not in PSREF and not in either datasheet. If HDR is part of your workflow, the P27QD-40, P32UD-40, P34WD-40 and P40WD-40 all publish HDR10 compliance; this one does not, and we will not imply it.
Your DisplayPort cable is probably not in the box. Lenovo flags it as North America only. A Singapore order should be expected to arrive with the Thunderbolt 4 cable, the USB-A to USB-B cable and the power cable.

Keep the Thunderbolt 4 cable with the monitor. A generic USB-C cable will not carry Thunderbolt, and the symptom of substituting one looks like a monitor fault rather than a cable problem.

Do I need a Thunderbolt laptop to use it?

How much power does it deliver?
Up to 100 W on the Thunderbolt 4 input, and up to 27 W on the Thunderbolt 4 output for a chained device. The newer -40 models in this range deliver 140 W if you need more.
What does "factory calibrated" actually mean here?
It means Lenovo calibrated this panel on the production line, measured the result and put a printed report in the box β so the monitor is accurate out of the carton without you buying a colorimeter. What it does not mean is hardware calibration: Lenovo publishes no hardware-calibration support for any ThinkVision P-series model, so you cannot write a new calibration into the monitor's own lookup table later. For most design, marketing and video-review work the factory calibration is what matters; for a print house that recalibrates monthly, it is worth a conversation before you order.
What warranty applies in Singapore?
Lenovo PSREF states a 3-year limited warranty as the base warranty for this model, and every unit SourceIT sells comes with local Singapore warranty support and a GST invoice.
