The HPE Networking Instant On 1930 8G 2SFP Switch (JL680A) is a smart-managed Gigabit switch from HPE's Instant On range, the small-business line designed to be set up and run without a dedicated IT team. It provides 8 x 10/100/1000 RJ-45 + 2 x 1G SFP, with a switching capacity of 20 Gbps and throughput of 14.88 Mpps.
HPE describes the 1930 series as affordable, easy-to-deploy, smart-managed fixed-configuration Gigabit switches designed for today's bandwidth-heavy applications. It sits above the 1830 by adding Layer 3 IPv4 static routing, ACLs and, on the 24- and 48-port models, 10G SFP+ uplinks.
Manage It from the Instant On App, the Cloud Portal or a Local Web GUI
Instant On switches are set up and monitored from the HPE Networking Instant On mobile app or the cloud-hosted web portal, with no extra licence or subscription fee. If you prefer to keep management on-site, the switch can instead be run from its local web GUI.
The same app manages Instant On access points and Secure Gateways, so a small office can run its wired and wireless network from one place.
Compact 8-Port Design with SFP Uplinks
With 8 x 10/100/1000 RJ-45 + 2 x 1G SFP, the 8G 2SFP suits a small office, shop or meeting room, using the two SFP ports for a fibre or copper uplink back to a core switch.
This model is fanless, so it runs silently in an open office, classroom or retail space.
Layer 2+ Features with Static Routing
HPE lists VLANs, IPv4 static routing, STP, RSTP and MSTP, link aggregation, IEEE 802.1X access control with RADIUS, ACLs, automatic denial-of-service protection and Energy Efficient Ethernet with automatic port shutdown.
Supplied in Singapore with a Limited Lifetime Warranty
