The Ergotron MXV Desk Monitor Arm (45-486-216) arrives fully assembled with its two-piece mounting clamp already fitted — attach it to the desk, hang the screen, done. It carries displays up to 34″ weighing 7–20 lbs (3.2–9.1 kg), which covers the great majority of office monitors including most 27″ and 32″ 4K panels and lighter 34″ ultrawides.
13 Inches of Constant Force Lift, Set With One Hand
Ergotron's patented Constant Force™ technology balances the arm through its whole 13″ (33 cm) of vertical travel, so the screen moves to a new height with a fingertip and stays where it is put. Nothing to unlock, nothing to tighten, no gas strut to lose pressure — the reason these arms survive several monitor generations in shared and hot-desked offices.
The Widest Tilt Range in the Range: 90 Degrees Up, 90 Degrees Down
A full 180° of tilt, 360° of rotation for portrait working and 180°/360° of pan give far more angular freedom than a typical monitor stand. The screen can be dropped and tilted right back for a standing check, spun to portrait for code and documents, or swung round to a colleague without anyone moving chairs.
Reclaims the Desk on Shallow Singapore Bench Desks

Ultrawide and curved screens: a 34″ ultrawide sits right at this arm's size limit, so weight is the deciding factor — check the panel is 20 lbs (9.1 kg) or under without its stand. Heavier 34″ panels and anything larger belong on the HX Desk Monitor Arm (up to 49″ and 42 lbs), and deeply curved 1000R displays on the HX Desk Monitor Arm with HD Pivot.
Very light screens: the Constant Force mechanism has a lower limit of 7 lbs (3.2 kg). Panels lighter than that will drift upward and will not hold position.
