Enterprise Layer 3 Access and Aggregation
The D-Link DGS-3630-52PC is a 52-port Gigabit Layer 3 stackable managed PoE switch: 48 IEEE 802.3af/at PoE ports (44 copper + 4 combo copper/SFP) with a 370 W budget, plus 4 x 10G SFP+ uplinks and 6 kV surge protection on all access ports.
PoE+ for Access Points, Cameras and Phones
Every copper port delivers IEEE 802.3af/at PoE at up to 30 W per port from a 370 W internal budget, which D-Link states can be expanded to 740 W with the optional DPS-700 redundant power supply.
Physical Stacking up to 9 Units
D-Link specifies physical stacking of up to 9 units (up to 432 Gigabit ports) with 80 Gbps stacking bandwidth per device, so the stack is managed as a single switch. Switching capacity is 176 Gbps with a 130.95 Mpps forwarding rate.
Standard, Enhanced and MPLS Images
The DGS-3630 runs D-Link's Standard Image (SI) with L2 switching, static routing, RIP, VRRP and advanced QoS. Licence upgrades unlock the Enhanced Image (EI: OSPF, BGP, VRF-Lite, PIM) and the MPLS Image (MI: IS-IS and MPLS L2/L3 VPN). ERPS, 802.3ah/802.1ag/Y.1731 OAM, OpenFlow 1.3, sFlow and PTP are also listed.
