Split One 40G Port into Four 10G Links
The D-Link DEM-CB100QXS-4XS is a 1 m passive twinaxial breakout cable with a QSFP+ connector on one end and four SFP+ connectors on the other. It fans one 40G QSFP+ port out to four 10G SFP+ ports — ideal for connecting a 40G aggregation switch to 10G access switches or servers in the same rack.
Built to the QSFP+ and SFP+ Standards
30 AWG twinax, 100 Ohm impedance and a 23.5 mm minimum bend radius, compliant with the SFP MSA, SFF-8436, SFF-8431, EIA 364, EIA-364-1000.01 and UL 94. D-Link rates it for -40 to 85 °C operation.

Host Switches
D-Link UK lists the DXS-5000-54S 10G/40G aggregation switch as compatible. The QSFP+ port on the host must support 4 x 10G breakout — send us your switch model and we will confirm.
Software
Direct attach cables need no configuration or licence — the host switch detects the cable when it is plugged in.
