10 Gigabit Links Without Optics
The D-Link DEM-CB100S is a 1 m passive twinaxial direct attach copper (DAC) cable with an SFP+ connector on each end. It carries 10 Gbps Ethernet between two SFP+ ports — a low-cost alternative to a pair of optical transceivers plus fibre for switch-to-switch and switch-to-server links in the same rack.
Built to the SFP+ Standards
The cable uses 30 AWG twinax with 100 Ohm impedance and a 23.5 mm minimum bend radius, and is fully compliant with the SFP MSA, SFF-8431, EIA 364 and UL 94. D-Link rates it for -40 to 85 °C operation.
