The D-Link DXS-3400-24SC/ESI delivers 20 x 10G SFP+ fibre ports plus 4 x 10GBASE-T/SFP+ combo ports in a 1U chassis, with 480 Gbps switching capacity and a 357.12 Mpps forwarding rate for server racks, storage and campus aggregation.
Standard Image with an Upgrade Path
This part number is the Standard Image (SI) version, covering core SMB/SME Layer 2+ functions including static routing, RIP v1/v2/RIPng, VRRP and policy-based routing. OSPF, PIM and other advanced L3 features need the Enhanced Image (DXS-3400-24SC-SE-LIC upgrade licence, or the /EEI part number).
Stackable and Resilient
Stack up to 4 switches with up to 80G stacking bandwidth, or manage up to 32 units as a virtual stack. MLAG, ERPS and 802.1AX link aggregation add path redundancy, and data centre bridging (PFC, ETS, CN) suits converged storage traffic.
Hot-Swap Power and Cooling
Ships with one power module; add a second DXS-PWR300AC for 1+1 redundancy and load sharing. Three hot-swappable fan trays give N+1 cooling with front-to-back airflow.

What is the difference between /EEI and /ESI?
The /EEI part number ships with the Enhanced Image (advanced L3: OSPF, BFD, PIM, DVMRP, MSDP); /ESI ships with the Standard Image (static routing, RIP, VRRP). This listing is the Standard Image version; see DXS-3400-24SC/EEI for the other option.
Does it have redundant power?
It ships with one PSU. Add a second DXS-PWR300AC for 1+1 redundancy and load sharing; the three fan trays are hot-swappable with N+1 redundancy.
How many switches can I stack?
Up to 4 switches physically with up to 80G stacking bandwidth, or up to 32 units with virtual stacking.
Can the combo ports use copper or fibre?
Yes. The 4 combo ports accept either 10GBASE-T copper or SFP+ modules. The other 20 ports are SFP+ slots.
