10G Where You Need It
The D-Link DXS-1210-12SC is a fibre-focused 12-port smart managed switch from the DXS-1210 B1 series, with ten 10G SFP+ ports and two combo ports that can run as 1G/10GBASE-T copper or SFP+.
It suits 10G fibre aggregation, storage networks and building-backbone cores where most links are SFP+ modules or DAC cables.
Performance
D-Link rates the DXS-1210-12SC at 240 Gbps switching capacity and 178.56 Mpps maximum forwarding rate, with up to 32,000 MAC address entries and jumbo frames up to 10 KB.
L2 Features and Static Routing
4K VLAN groups, Auto Surveillance VLAN and Auto Voice VLAN, 802.1D/w/s spanning tree, link aggregation (8 groups, 8 ports per group), IGMP/MLD snooping and LLDP/LLDP-MED are supported, plus static routing (64 IPv4 and 64 IPv6 entries on 8 IP interfaces) for inter-VLAN routing.
Security, Management and Green Features
802.1X, port security, DHCP server screening, storm control, DoS attack prevention, SSH/SSL and the D-Link Safeguard Engine protect the network. Manage it via web GUI, full CLI (console/Telnet), SNMP v1/v2c/v3 or D-Link Nuclias Connect; D-View 8 is available with separate licensing. EEE, port shutoff, LED shutoff and system hibernation reduce power use.

D-Link notes that only hardware revision A2 DEM-410T modules are compatible with DXS-1210 B1 switches, that a maximum of 2 DEM-410T modules can be installed per switch, and that DEM-410T use is limited to 40 °C ambient. Ask us before using third-party modules.

Does it support 2.5G and 5G devices?
The two combo ports can run as 1G/10GBASE-T copper; the other ten ports are SFP+ only, so use SFP+ modules or DAC cables there.
Does it route between VLANs?
Yes, with static routing: up to 64 IPv4 and 64 IPv6 static routes on 8 IP interfaces per the datasheet. Dynamic routing protocols are not listed.
Can it be stacked?
Stacking is not listed in D-Link's datasheet for the DXS-1210 B1 series.
Is it fanless?
No. D-Link lists 2 fans (42.6–46.3 dB).
Can I use the DEM-410T copper SFP+ module?
Only hardware revision A2, and a maximum of two per switch at up to 40 °C ambient, per D-Link. Ask us to confirm the revision before ordering.
