PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Cisco Room Bar BYOD, Carbon Black (CS-BAR-C-UK9) — 1 Year Local Warranty

A BYOD video bar for huddle and focus rooms

The Cisco Room Bar BYOD (CS-BAR-C-UK9) is the bring-your-own-device version of the Cisco Room Bar, in Carbon Black. Cisco positions it as a cost-efficient, scalable way to equip small meeting spaces, huddle rooms and focus rooms with a solution that works with any meeting platform.

Your laptop hosts the meeting

Connect the bar to the room display with HDMI and plug a laptop in with a single USB-C cable. The laptop hosts and controls the meeting in any soft client, while using the bar’s camera, microphones and speakers and sharing content to the screen.

12 MP camera with a 120° field of view

The camera uses a 12 MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor behind a fixed-focus f/2.5 lens with a 120° horizontal and 95° vertical field of view. Over USB-C, Cisco lists audio and video intelligence including noise removal, Frames, speaker and group framing.

Audio tuned for small rooms

A 4-element beamforming microphone array with AI-powered noise removal and echo cancellation picks up speech, and two full-range drivers deliver stereo audio from 100 Hz to 20 kHz. Cisco optimises the Room Bar microphones for up to five people seated within 3 metres.

Cloud managed, with an upgrade path

Registering the Room Bar BYOD to Webex Control Hub adds enterprise cloud management and analytics. Cisco states that connecting a Cisco Room Navigator upgrades the device to the full Room Bar experience.

Frequently Asked Questions — Cisco Room Bar BYOD

How is the Room Bar BYOD different from the Room Bar?

The BYOD model ships without a Room Navigator and is used from a laptop: connect the display with HDMI and the laptop with USB-C, and the laptop hosts the meeting. The standard Room Bar bundles include a Room Navigator and run meetings natively on Cisco RoomOS.

Does it work with Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet?

Yes. Because the meeting runs on the connected laptop, any meeting application that can use a USB camera, microphone and speaker can be used.

Can it be upgraded later?

Cisco states that connecting a Cisco Room Navigator upgrades the Room Bar BYOD to the full Room Bar experience. The Navigator is ordered separately.

Can it be managed centrally?

Yes. It can be registered to Webex Control Hub for cloud management and analytics.

What does "C" mean in CS-BAR-C-UK9?

"C" is the Carbon Black finish. The First Light version is CS-BAR-L-UK9.
