Getting the Full 100Hz
DisplayPort 1.2 is the input we recommend for the full 100Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync; HDMI 1.4 also supports 100Hz at this resolution. Whichever input is used, the refresh rate needs to be set to 100Hz in the graphics driver or Windows display settings — some systems default to 60Hz on first connection.
