PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

ASUS NUC 15 Pro (RNUC15CRHU5073C3) - Intel Core Ultra 5 225H / Arc 130T Graphics / 16GB DDR5 / 512GB SSD / Windows 11 Pro - 3 Years Onsite Local Warranty

The slim NUC 15 Pro: 117 × 112 × 37 mm and 500 g, with a 14-core Intel Core Ultra 5 225H, Intel Arc 130T graphics with 7 Xe-cores, a 13 TOPS NPU, 16GB of DDR5 and a 512GB NVMe SSD. Dual Thunderbolt 4 and dual HDMI 2.1 drive four 4K displays. VESA bracket in the box, tool-less access to memory and storage.

This is the modern-architecture option in the NUC 15 Pro range - Arrow Lake rather than Raptor Lake - and the one to pick when graphics performance, power efficiency or physical size matter more than raw thread count.

Add the second memory module - it matters more here than on most machines

The distributor build sheet specifies 16GB DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM as 16GB × 1: one slot filled, one free, and the system running single-channel. That is a bigger deal on this model than on a machine with weaker graphics, because the Intel Arc 130T GPU has 7 Xe-cores and draws all its bandwidth from system memory. Single-channel effectively halves what the GPU can be fed.

A matched second 16GB module enables dual-channel and typically produces a large improvement in graphics-bound work - multi-display, video, light 3D, and the GPU-accelerated portion of AI workloads. Both slots are tool-less. Ask SourceIT to quote it as 2 × 16GB and we will fit it before delivery.

Intel Arc 130T graphics - the real differentiator in this range

Seven Xe-cores of Arc architecture, with hardware ray tracing, XeSS upscaling and the modern media engine that comes with it (AV1 encode and decode included). Against the Intel Graphics 64-EU part in the Core 7 240H model, this is a substantial step up for anything visual: multi-monitor productivity, video playback and encode, light 3D and CAD viewing, and the GPU-accelerated share of AI work. If the machine will do anything beyond text and spreadsheets, this is the variant to buy.

An NPU - but not a Copilot+ PC

The Core Ultra 5 225H carries Intel AI Boost rated at 13 peak TOPS (INT8), with Intel quoting 83 TOPS across the whole platform when CPU, GPU and NPU are combined. That gives real hardware acceleration for background AI features and local inference.

It is, however, below the 40 TOPS NPU threshold Microsoft requires for Copilot+ PC, so this machine will not run on-device Copilot+ features such as Recall or Windows Studio Effects on its NPU. If Copilot+ is a procurement requirement, the NUC 16 Pro range with the Core Ultra X7 or X9 (50 TOPS) is the machine that qualifies.

14 cores in three tiers

Four performance cores, eight efficient cores and two low-power efficient cores - the low-power pair handle background work at very low draw, which is why this part idles more efficiently than the older Raptor Lake alternative. 14 cores, 14 threads: this generation does not use Hyper-Threading, so size per-thread licensing against 14. Built on TSMC N3B, 28W base power and 115W maximum turbo.

Four 4K displays, Thunderbolt 4, and a tool-less chassis

Two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports carrying DisplayPort 2.1 plus two HDMI 2.1 FRL outputs support up to four 4K displays. ASUS's hinged lever-action mechanism opens the chassis for memory and storage without a screwdriver. MIL-STD-810H certified, Kensington lock slot, and Intel Platform Trust Technology to prevent unauthorised BIOS modification. Intel vPro on selected SKUs - confirm with SourceIT for this part number.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I add a second memory module?
On this model especially, yes. It ships as a single 16 GB stick running single-channel, and the Arc 130T GPU draws all its bandwidth from system memory - single-channel is the single biggest thing holding this machine back. A matched second module is inexpensive and we can fit it before delivery.

Is this a Copilot+ PC?
No. The NPU is rated at 13 peak TOPS against Microsoft's 40 TOPS requirement. It does have real AI acceleration - Intel quotes 83 TOPS across the platform - but not enough for Copilot+ certification. The NUC 16 Pro with Core Ultra X7 or X9 is the machine that qualifies, at 50 TOPS.

How does this compare to the NUC 15 Pro Tall with Core 7 240H?
A genuinely close call. This one has far better graphics (Intel Arc 130T, 7 Xe-cores vs 64 EU), an NPU, lower idle power and a slimmer 37 mm chassis. The Core 7 240H model has more threads (16 vs 14), more cache (24 MB vs 18 MB) and higher peak clocks (5.2 GHz vs 4.9 GHz), plus Tall-chassis expansion headers - and it is cheaper. Choose this one for graphics, AI or size; choose the 240H for CPU throughput per dollar or expansion.

Does it have 14 or 20 threads?
14. Four performance cores, eight efficient cores and two low-power efficient cores, with no Hyper-Threading this generation.

How many monitors can it drive?
Up to four 4K displays, across two Thunderbolt 4 ports with DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 FRL outputs.

Can I get dual Ethernet?
Not on this chassis - it has one Intel I226-V 2.5 Gigabit port. If dual LAN is essential for a firewall or gateway role, the NUC 16 Pro has two ports as standard.

Can I upgrade the storage?
Yes, through the same tool-less access as the memory. Ask SourceIT to supply and fit a larger drive before delivery if you would rather not open the chassis.

Sourcing Notes & Points to Verify

SourceIT builds listings from independent sources - the distributor build sheet, the system vendor and the silicon vendor - and prints the disagreements rather than smoothing them over.

Single-channel memory The distributor build sheet specifies "16GB (16*1)" - one module, one slot free. Stated plainly above because it materially limits the Arc 130T GPU and is easily remedied at order time
Graphics naming The distributor build sheet lists the graphics only as "Intel Graphics (Integrated)". Intel's own specification for the Core Ultra 5 225H names it Intel Arc 130T GPU with 7 Xe-cores. We have used Intel's name, because the distinction between Arc and the older Intel Graphics is the main reason to choose this model over the Core 7 240H
Chassis weight and volume ASUS's product page quotes "0.48L" and "0.6 KG" for the NUC 15 Pro range without separating Tall from slim. The distributor build sheet gives 117 × 112 × 37 mm and 500 g for this SKU specifically, which is what we have printed
Product naming This SKU is listed as "NUC 15 PRO" rather than "NUC 15 PRO TALL", and its 37 mm height confirms it is the slim chassis. If you are matching an existing fleet, check the height as well as the model name
Power adapter wattage Neither ASUS nor the distributor build sheet publishes the adapter wattage for this SKU. Ask us to confirm if you are sizing a UPS precisely
Intel vPro ASUS states vPro is available on selected SKUs but does not identify which. Confirm with SourceIT for this part number if out-of-band management is required
Availability The distributor build sheet marks this line "While Stocks Lasts"
