Buy ASUS NUC, GX10 & ET900N G3 via GeBIZ: Government Guide

Posted by Wei Fei on

Government agencies, statutory boards, schools and institutes of higher learning in Singapore buy IT through GeBIZ, and the supplier they buy from has to be a registered GeBIZ trading partner that can invoice through Vendors@Gov. SourceIT is both, and this guide explains how the process works when the item is an ASUS NUC for a classroom or meeting room, an Ascent GX10 for a research lab, or an ExpertCenter Pro ET900N G3 for a department-scale AI service. We cover the Ministry of Finance procurement thresholds that decide whether your purchase is a small value purchase, a quotation or a tender, what SourceIT provides at each stage, lead times on NVIDIA GB10 and GB300 systems, and education pricing on the GX10.

How government IT procurement works in Singapore

The Ministry of Finance sets three procurement methods for public agencies, and the estimated value of the purchase decides which one applies. Suppliers see the open ones on GeBIZ (gebiz.gov.sg), the government's procurement portal, where quotations and tenders are published and award notices naming the supplier and contract sum appear after approval. Our earlier post, navigating GeBIZ, covers the portal itself; this one is about buying specific ASUS hardware through it.

Method Estimated procurement value How it is sourced Typical ASUS purchase at this level
Small Value Purchase (SVP) Not exceeding S$6,000 Direct purchase from a suitable supplier or off the shelf, with prices assessed to be reasonable One or two NUC 15 Pro or NUC 16 Pro units, an ExpertCenter PN55, a ROG GR70, a QN10
Quotation (ITQ) Not exceeding S$90,000 Open ITQ published on GeBIZ, or limited ITQ sent to selected suppliers A classroom or lab of NUCs; one to eight Ascent GX10 units; a two- or four-unit GX10 cluster with cables
Tender (ITT) More than S$90,000 Open ITT on GeBIZ, selective ITT after prequalification, or limited ITT to selected suppliers; Tender Lite for values not exceeding S$1 million Campus-wide NUC refresh; ExpertCenter Pro ET900N G3 deployments; multi-site GX10 fleets

Figures are from the Ministry of Finance's published procurement processes at the time of writing; agencies apply their own internal approval rules on top, so your procurement officer has the final word on method.

Which ASUS systems fall under which threshold

At SourceIT's current prices, most single-unit ASUS purchases sit inside the SVP band: the NUC 16 Pro Core Ultra 7 356H at S$2,155, the Ascent QN10 at S$2,375 and the NUC 16 Pro X9 388H 64 GB at S$4,420 all qualify. A single Ascent GX10 1 TB at S$7,200 crosses into quotation territory on its own, and the 4 TB at S$9,850 does too. A four-unit GX10 cluster with the ASUS QSFP cables at S$120 each stays inside the S$90,000 quotation band with room for a switch. The ET900N G3 is price on request; it is a GB300 DGX Station-class system and institutional buyers should plan for the tender process and a dedicated 20 A power circuit, as explained in our ET900N G3 guide.

What SourceIT provides at each stage

Before the purchase. A formal quotation on SourceIT letterhead with part numbers, unit prices, GST and validity period, which is what a procurement officer attaches to an SVP approval or uses to build an ITQ specification. For AI systems we also provide a sizing note so the specification asks for the right memory and storage rather than a brand name, which keeps the ITQ open and defensible. The AI hardware calculator is a quick way for a requester to produce that sizing themselves.

During the ITQ or ITT. We respond on GeBIZ as a registered trading partner, with ASUS authorisation on file, the official ASUS Singapore warranty stated per SKU, and compliance responses against your technical schedule.

On award. Delivery to the site, asset tagging to your schedule if required, and for the GX10 and ET900N G3, commissioning: units delivered already updated, networked and serving the models you specify. For an ET900N G3 we coordinate the power and placement check with your facilities team before the unit arrives.

After delivery. A GST invoice submitted through Vendors@Gov, serial numbers recorded against the order, first-line support and RMA coordination with ASUS Singapore. Our post on ASUS warranty in Singapore explains what the official warranty covers and how a case is raised.

Lead times on GB10 and GB300 systems

Windows mini PCs such as the NUC, QN10 and ExpertCenter PN series are normally stock items, and the product page shows live availability. NVIDIA Grace Blackwell systems are different. The Ascent GX10 (GB10) and the ET900N G3 (GB300) are allocated by ASUS and NVIDIA, which means supply is assigned to orders rather than held on a shelf; confirm the lead time at quotation, and for an ITQ or ITT make sure the delivery clause reflects it. Our practical advice for institutions is to engage us before the specification is written, so the quotation carries a delivery date your procurement officer can rely on and the award does not land in a supply gap. For the wider field of GB10 machines that may be available on a different timeline, see the GB10 buyer's guide.

Education pricing on the Ascent GX10

ASUS runs an education programme on the Ascent GX10, and NVIDIA Inception members may also qualify for special pricing. For schools, polytechnics, universities and research institutes, tell us the institution and the intended use when requesting a quote and we will apply whatever programme pricing the order qualifies for; the list prices on our product pages are the starting point, not the ceiling. Education buyers also tend to prefer the two-unit configuration (two GX10s linked directly over ConnectX-7, 256 GB combined) because it lets one lab run 200B-class models and still splits into two independent teaching machines; our GX10 guide covers clustering and model sizes.

Writing a specification that survives evaluation

Three habits make ASUS Agent Computer purchases easier to evaluate. Specify the outcome, not the badge: "128 GB unified memory, 1 PFLOP FP4, DGX OS, ConnectX-7 clustering" describes a GX10 without naming it. State power and placement: a NUC runs on a desk, a GX10 on a 240 W USB-C adapter, an ET900N G3 on a dedicated circuit, and an evaluator who sees this in the specification knows the requester has thought about the site. State the software layer: Windows 11 Pro for a NUC or QN10, DGX OS for a GX10, Ubuntu with the NVIDIA AI stack for the ET900N G3, plus the agent frameworks (NemoClaw, OpenClaw, Hermes) the unit is validated for. The ASUS Agent Computer guide lines these up by tier, and the DGX Spark enterprise deployment guide covers the network and access-control clauses an IT security reviewer will expect.

Buying ASUS Agent Computers through GeBIZ in Singapore

Frequently asked questions

What are the GeBIZ procurement thresholds? Under the Ministry of Finance's published processes, purchases not exceeding S$6,000 are small value purchases, those not exceeding S$90,000 go by quotation (ITQ), and those above S$90,000 go to tender (ITT), with Tender Lite available for values not exceeding S$1 million.

Is SourceIT a registered GeBIZ IT vendor? Yes. SourceIT is a GeBIZ trading partner and is registered on Vendors@Gov for invoicing, and is an authorised ASUS reseller.

Can a school buy an Ascent GX10 as a small value purchase? At S$7,200 for the 1 TB unit it exceeds the S$6,000 SVP ceiling, so it normally goes by quotation. Your procurement officer applies your institution's rules.

What is the lead time on the GX10 and ET900N G3? Both are allocated NVIDIA Grace Blackwell systems. Confirm the lead time at quotation and reflect it in the delivery clause.

Is there education pricing on ASUS AI hardware? ASUS education programme pricing and NVIDIA Inception pricing may apply on the Ascent GX10. Tell us the institution when requesting a quote.

Does SourceIT install the system? For the GX10 and ET900N G3 we deliver units commissioned: updated, networked and serving the specified models. NUC and ExpertCenter units are delivered ready for your imaging.
