ASUS Warranty Singapore: NUC, Ascent, ExpertCenter Guide

Posted by Wei Fei on

"ASUS warranty Singapore" is one of the first things a business buyer checks before ordering a mini PC or an AI workstation, and the answer depends on where you buy. A unit bought from an authorised ASUS reseller such as SourceIT carries the official ASUS Singapore warranty and is serviced by ASUS Singapore; a parallel-imported unit may not be. This guide explains what that distinction means in practice for the ASUS NUC, ExpertCenter, Ascent GX10 and ExpertCenter Pro ET900N G3, how to check coverage on ASUS's own site, how to raise a case, and what SourceIT does on top of the manufacturer warranty.

What "official ASUS Singapore warranty" means

ASUS administers warranty by region. When a product is sold into Singapore through ASUS's authorised channel, its serial number is registered to the Singapore market and ASUS Singapore's service network handles any claim. That is what we mean on every SourceIT product page by "official ASUS Singapore warranty": the unit was supplied through ASUS's Singapore distribution, the serial number is recognised locally, and the warranty term that applies is the Singapore term for that SKU.

ASUS's own warranty-status FAQ makes the practical consequence clear: the expiry date shown by the online lookup is for reference, and without a valid purchase invoice the warranty is counted from the delivery date tied to the serial number rather than from the day you bought it. A GST invoice from an authorised reseller is therefore more than an accounting document; it is the evidence that fixes your warranty start date.

Authorised reseller vs parallel import

Question Authorised reseller (SourceIT) Parallel import / overseas purchase
Which ASUS region services the unit? ASUS Singapore The region the unit was sold into; Singapore service is not assured
Warranty term applied The Singapore term for the SKU (three-year commercial warranty on business NUC and ExpertCenter models) The selling region's term, which may differ
Proof of purchase GST invoice in your company's name, accepted as proof Overseas receipt; without it ASUS counts from the serial number's delivery date
First-line support SourceIT, then ASUS Singapore None locally
Government and institutional purchase GeBIZ and Vendors@Gov registered supplier Usually not eligible
Commissioning for GX10 / ET900N G3 Available Not available

The price gap that makes a grey-market unit attractive is usually smaller than the cost of one failed board on a machine that has to be shipped back to its selling country for service. For a S$7,200 to S$9,850 Ascent GX10 or an ET900N G3, buy through the authorised channel.

Warranty terms on ASUS commercial lines

ASUS's business NUC and ExpertCenter models carry a three-year commercial warranty in Singapore. That covers the NUC 15 Pro, NUC 15 Pro+ and NUC 16 Pro configurations we sell with Windows 11 Pro, and the ExpertCenter PN-series mini PCs. ASUS's NUC transition FAQ also records that ASUS-sold NUCs carry a three-year limited warranty on the hardware in the box, with support starting on the day the product is sold.

For the Ascent GX10 and the ExpertCenter Pro ET900N G3, which are NVIDIA Grace Blackwell systems sold under a different ASUS product family, confirm the term for your SKU when requesting a quote; we state it on the quotation so it is on file with your purchase. The same applies to the ROG NUC, which is a consumer line.

How to check ASUS warranty coverage

ASUS publishes a self-service lookup, and it takes about a minute.

1. Find the serial number. It is on the label under the unit and on the carton; on a Windows machine, MyASUS shows it too.

2. Open the ASUS Singapore warranty status page at asus.com/sg/support/warranty-status-inquiry. If ASUS's global page detects a different region, switch to the Singapore site so the result reflects the Singapore term.

3. Enter the serial number, accept the privacy notice and submit. The result shows the warranty expiry date.

4. Upload proof of purchase if the date looks wrong. The results page offers an option to update the invoice for the product; log in, enter your details and upload a photo of the invoice (JPG, PNG, GIF, JPEG or JP2, up to 10 MB). ASUS reviews it and replies by email, and the start date is corrected to the invoice date.

5. MyASUS. On a Windows unit, open MyASUS, go to User Center, sign in with the ASUS account the product is registered to, and the expiry date is shown against the product.

Do this once when the unit arrives, not when it fails. If the lookup shows a start date earlier than your invoice, upload the invoice immediately so the record is right before you ever need it.

How to raise a warranty case

For a SourceIT-supplied unit, start with us. Email Sales@sourceit.com.sg or call (65) 6978 3502 with the serial number, the invoice number and a description of the fault. We do first-line diagnosis, because a meaningful share of "faults" on mini PCs and AI boxes are a BIOS setting, a driver, a power adapter or a display cable, and those are fixed in a phone call. If the hardware does need service, we open the case with ASUS Singapore, give you the reference, and track it until the unit is back.

You can also go directly to ASUS Singapore through the channels its NUC support FAQ lists: the regional call centre, the online support form and online RMA. ASUS's NUC FAQ notes that service is pick-up-and-return with local coverage, and that if ASUS cannot supply a replacement from buffer stock it issues a refund. Keep the original carton for the first year; a unit that travels in its own packaging is far less likely to pick up a second fault in transit.

What SourceIT adds on top of the manufacturer warranty

First-line support. We answer the phone, and we know the products: NUC BIOS quirks, DGX OS updates on the GX10, power requirements on the ET900N G3.

RMA coordination. One contact who logs the case, chases ASUS and tells you when to expect the unit back, so your IT team is not managing a vendor ticket.

Commissioning. For the Ascent GX10 and ET900N G3 we deliver units already updated, networked and serving your chosen models, which also means the first boot and the first OS update, two of the more common points where a support case starts, have already been done by us.

Documentation for procurement. Quotation on letterhead, GST invoice and serial numbers recorded against the order, which is what an auditor or a GeBIZ purchase file expects. See our guide to buying ASUS Agent Computers through GeBIZ and Vendors@Gov.

If you also run HP hardware, our companion post on HP warranty in Singapore covers the equivalent process on that side.

SourceIT is an authorised ASUS reseller. Every ASUS unit we sell, from the NUC 15 Pro Core Ultra 7 255H at S$2,465 and the ExpertCenter PN55 at S$2,495 to the Ascent GX10 1 TB at S$7,200, ships with official ASUS Singapore warranty, a GST invoice and our first-line support. For the full family, start with the ASUS Agent Computer guide. Use Request for Quotation on the product page, call (65) 6978 3502, or email Sales@sourceit.com.sg. We are GeBIZ and Vendors@Gov registered for government, statutory board, school and IHL orders.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check my ASUS warranty in Singapore? Enter the serial number on the ASUS Singapore warranty status inquiry page at asus.com/sg/support/warranty-status-inquiry, or open MyASUS on the unit and check User Center. The result shows the expiry date.

How long is the ASUS commercial warranty on a NUC or ExpertCenter? Business NUC and ExpertCenter models sold through the authorised channel in Singapore carry a three-year commercial warranty. Confirm the term for any specific SKU when you request a quote.

What is the warranty on the Ascent GX10 and ET900N G3? These are NVIDIA Grace Blackwell systems in a separate ASUS product family. Confirm the term for your SKU when requesting a quote; we state it on the quotation.

Does a parallel-imported ASUS unit have warranty in Singapore? ASUS administers warranty by region, so a unit sold into another market may need to be serviced under that market's terms. Buy from an authorised Singapore reseller if local service matters.

What if the warranty lookup shows the wrong start date? Without a valid invoice ASUS counts from the delivery date tied to the serial number. Use the invoice-upload option on the results page to correct it to your purchase date.

Who do I call first if a SourceIT-supplied ASUS unit fails? SourceIT, on (65) 6978 3502 or Sales@sourceit.com.sg. We diagnose first and open and track the ASUS Singapore case if hardware service is needed.
