What you can plug in. The SRTL3KRM1UINC provides five outlets: (3) IEC 320 C13 and (2) IEC 320 C19. Schneider splits them into a main group of (1) C13 + (1) C19 and a switched group of (2) C13 + (1) C19, so you can shed the non-critical group first and extend runtime for what matters. Total the real power draw (watts) of the equipment you intend to protect and keep it below the 3,000 W rating.

Runtime depends on load. Runtime is not linear: halving the load more than doubles the time on battery. Schneider publishes the internal capacity as 336 VAh with a 1.5-hour recharge time, but does not publish a runtime table for this model that we are able to cite, so rather than quote a figure we cannot source, ask SourceIT for a runtime calculation against your measured load.

Extended runtime. Connect up to five SRTL50RMBP1U-LI lithium-ion battery packs. Schneider's published capacity ladder is 1,240, 2,471, 3,706, 4,944 and 6,192 VAh as packs are added. These are lithium-ion packs specific to the Smart-UPS Ultra range — the lead-acid SRT packs (SRT96BP, SRT192BP and so on) are not compatible.

Input and circuit. Unlike the larger hard-wired SRT models, the SRTL3KRM1UINC uses an IEC 60320 C20 inlet at 16 A nominal, and ships with three detachable input cords: BS1363A (the Singapore 13 A plug), IEC 60320 C20 and Schuko CEE 7/EU1-16P, each 2.44 m long. No electrician is required for commissioning — but do check that the circuit you are plugging into can carry the load, because a fully loaded 3 kW UPS on a 13 A socket is close to the limit of that socket.

Rack fit. 1U, 43 mm (H) x 432 mm (W) x 560 mm (D), with the rail kit included. It mounts horizontally in a rack, vertically as a tower on the supplied stabilisation feet, or on a two-post frame. At well under 20 kg it is a one-person install, which is unusual at this capacity.

Network management. The “NC” suffix means a Network Management Card 3 is factory-installed, so SNMP and HTTPS monitoring work from first boot. This is a real hardware difference from the “IC” builds, which ship with SmartConnect instead — check the part number against your tender. A Universal I/O port, a micro-USB console port, a serial data port and an EPO terminal are also provided. Schneider does not name PowerChute or EcoStruxure IT support for this exact model in the documents we can cite, so we have not claimed it; ask SourceIT if shutdown-software integration is a requirement.

In the box: the UPS, USB cable, RJ45 cable, safety guide and user documentation, three input power cords (BS1363A, IEC 60320 C20 and Schuko), rack mounting brackets, stabilisation feet, and screws.

What is the difference between the 3,000 VA and 3,000 W rating, and how do I size the SRTL3KRM1UINC?
VA is apparent power and W is real power. On most UPS families the watt figure is lower than the VA figure, and watts is what limits you — but the Smart-UPS Ultra is a unity power factor design (output power factor 1.0), so it delivers the full 3,000 W. Add up the real draw of everything you want on battery and keep the total below 3,000 W, ideally around 70–80% of it.

How long will the SRTL3KRM1UINC run on battery?
That depends entirely on load. Schneider publishes the internal capacity as 336 VAh with a 1.5-hour recharge time, but does not publish a runtime table for this model that we can cite, so we would rather give you a calculation than a marketing figure. For defined autonomy, add SRTL50RMBP1U-LI packs — up to five, taking the system to 6,192 VAh — and ask SourceIT to size it against your measured load.

Why lithium-ion, and how long does the battery last?
Schneider rates the lithium-ion battery in the Smart-UPS Ultra at eight to ten years of service life, against the three to five years typical of a sealed lead-acid cartridge. In Singapore that gap is wider in practice than on paper, because VRLA life is driven hard by ambient temperature and comms cabinets here run warm. Over a seven-year equipment cycle it is often the difference between one battery replacement and none. The lithium-ion chemistry also cuts weight dramatically — under 16 kg for a 3 kW on-line UPS.

What does the “INC” suffix mean?
It is not a company suffix — it is the build code. Reading it in parts: I is the international 230 V build, and NC means a Network Management Card is fitted at the factory. The alternative “IC” builds ship with SmartConnect instead of a network card, and “W” builds are for other regional voltages. These are genuinely different hardware, not packaging variants, so check the part number carefully against your tender.

Does the SRTL3KRM1UINC produce a sine wave output, and will it work with an active-PFC power supply?
Yes. It is an on-line double-conversion design with a sine wave output, so the load is fed from the inverter continuously. That is exactly the output type active-PFC server and workstation power supplies expect — unlike the step-approximated output of many entry-level line-interactive and standby UPS units, which some active-PFC supplies reject outright.

Does it come with a plug, or does it need an electrician?
It plugs in. The inlet is an IEC 60320 C20 rated at 16 A nominal, and Schneider ships three detachable input cords in the box — BS1363A (the Singapore 13 A plug), IEC 60320 C20 and Schuko CEE 7 — each 2.44 m long. That is a real practical difference from the larger SRT models, which are hard wired and need a licensed electrician. Which replacement battery does it take, and can I change it myself?
The APCRBC173-LI lithium-ion replacement battery cartridge. Because Schneider rates the battery at eight to ten years, most users will never replace it inside a normal equipment cycle. Note that this is a lithium-ion cartridge and is not interchangeable with any of the lead-acid APCRBC parts used across the SRT range.

How much rack space does it need, and is the rail kit included?
1U, and yes — the rail kit and rack mounting brackets are included, along with stabilisation feet for tower use. The chassis is 43 mm (H) x 432 mm (W) x 560 mm (D), and it can also be two-post mounted. At around 15 kg it is a one-person install, which is unusual for a 3 kW on-line UPS.

How does the SRTL3KRM1UINC compare with the SRT3000RMXLI?
Both are 3 kVA on-line double-conversion units. The SRT3000RMXLI uses sealed lead-acid batteries in a 2U chassis; the SRTL3KRM1UINC uses lithium-ion in 1U, weighs a fraction as much, and carries a five-year manufacturer warranty against the SRT range's three years on the UPS and two on the battery. If rack space, floor loading or battery replacement cost drive the decision, the Ultra wins. If the lowest purchase price drives it, the SRT does.

Is the SRTL3KRM1UINC covered by warranty in Singapore?
Yes. Every APC SRTL3KRM1UINC sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice; APC backs the SRTL3KRM1UINC with a 5-year manufacturer warranty (repair or replace). Note that the Smart-UPS Ultra warranty statement, unlike the SRT one, does not carve the battery out with a shorter term.
