Yealink UVC40 E2 vs Jabra PanaCast 50: Which Video Bar Belongs in Your Office?

The Yealink UVC40 E2 belongs in small and huddle rooms where cost and simplicity matter most: a single 4K camera with a 120° view, eight microphones and a 5 W speaker for S$645.00 at SourceIT (listed 25 Oct 2026). The Jabra PanaCast 50 belongs in rooms where people sit close to the screen and spread to the sides, or where Teams or Zoom certification is required: three 13 MP cameras stitched into a 180° panoramic view, eight microphones, four speakers and certification for Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms, Zoom and Zoom Rooms. The PanaCast 50 is S$1,575.00 at SourceIT.

Figures from Yealink's UVC40 E2 product page and July 2026 datasheet, and Jabra's PanaCast 50 product page. Jabra's own pages quote both 4.5 x 6 m and 4.5 x 4.5 m for the certified room size. Jabra does not claim Google Meet certification; Yealink does not name Google Meet.

Camera: 120° single lens vs 180° panorama

This is the biggest difference. The PanaCast 50 uses three cameras to see 180° horizontally, so someone sitting right beside the screen is still in view. That suits narrow rooms, rooms where the table runs up to the wall under the display, and rooms where people sit along the sides. Virtual Director and Dynamic Composition then decide who to show, including combining people into one frame. The UVC40 E2's single 120° lens covers a normal small room comfortably; it simply cannot see as far to the sides. On the other hand, a single lens avoids stitching, and the E2's Smart Area Exposure helps in backlit rooms. If you are not sure how much angle you need, read Your Meeting Room Camera Is Missing Half the People.

Measure the distance from the screen to the nearest chair. If it is short and the seats wrap around, you are paying for the 180°.

Audio

Both have eight microphones. Yealink publishes a 6 m pickup for the UVC40 E2; for the PanaCast 50, Jabra quotes the certified room size rather than a pickup distance. On playback, the PanaCast 50's four-speaker design with dedicated woofers and tweeters is the fuller system and better suited to the top end of a small room; the UVC40 E2's 5 W speaker is sized for small and huddle rooms. Yealink also offers VCM36-W wireless and VCM35 wired expansion microphones for longer tables.

Certification and room systems

If your organisation requires certified hardware, the PanaCast 50 qualifies for Teams, Teams Rooms, Zoom and Zoom Rooms, and Jabra sells it in complete room kits, such as the PanaCast 50 Video Bar System for Microsoft Teams Rooms. The UVC40 E2 works with Teams and Zoom as a USB device, but Yealink does not claim certification. Management also follows your estate: Jabra Plus for Jabra fleets, Yealink RoomConnect for Yealink ones.

Which video bar belongs in your office?

  • Small and huddle rooms on a budget, PC-based, no certification requirement: Yealink UVC40 E2, S$645.00.
  • Rooms where people sit close and to the sides, or certified Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms: Jabra PanaCast 50, S$1,575.00. Accessories include the table stand (S$90.00) and screen mount kit (S$98.10).
  • Mixed estate: you can put a PanaCast 50 in the main meeting room and UVC40 E2 bars in the huddle rooms, as long as your IT team is comfortable managing two vendors' tools.
