Box contents and dimensions from HP's product specifications for each part number. HP's Focus 6 datasheet describes the Fold's case as a hard case and the standard model's as a soft pouch.
What is the same on all three?
The audio, microphones, battery and features do not change between part numbers. Every Focus 625 has six microphones with Acoustic Fence 2.0 and a 70 mm hideaway boom, hybrid ANC with Transparency mode, up to 25 hours of talk time with ANC and the online indicator on, a 10-minute quick charge for up to 4 hours of talk, a 50 m rated range, a dedicated Microsoft Teams button, a busylight, smart sensors and a replaceable battery. HP describes a standard two-year limited warranty for each. For the full assessment, see HP Poly Focus 625 Review.
C56XPAA Standard: who is it for?
The Focus 625 standard (C56XPAA) is the default for a fixed desk. It charges by USB-C, and a full wired charge takes about an hour. It does not fold, but it does support wireless charging if you add HP's separately sold Focus charge stand later. At S$329.23 it is the lowest-cost way into the Focus 625 for a team rollout.
C56XSAA Fold: who is it for?
The Focus 625 Fold (C56XSAA) folds flat for a laptop bag and is the only part number with a USB-C to 3.5 mm audio cable in the box. HP notes the wired connection is for media listening, which makes it the one to buy for frequent flyers who want to plug into a seat-back screen. For S$19.77 more than the standard model, it is the sensible choice for anyone who carries a headset between home, office and client sites. Travel-headset comparisons are in Focus 625 Fold vs Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex and Jabra Evolve3 65 Flex vs Focus 625 Fold.
C56XXAA with charging stand: who is it for?
The Focus 625 with wireless charging stand (C56XXAA) bundles the standard, non-folding headset with HP's Focus wireless charge stand. Put the headset down and it charges, so it is always ready; HP rates a wireless charge at about three hours. It suits hot desks, shared stations, reception counters and executives' desks. It costs S$68.44 more than the standard model and does not include the 3.5 mm cable.
Same headset, three boxes. Order by where the headset lives: desk, bag or dock.
Common ordering mistakes
- Expecting the stand version to fold. C56XXAA uses the standard, non-folding headset.
- Expecting a 3.5 mm cable with every model. Only the Fold (C56XSAA) includes it.
- Assuming the standard model cannot charge wirelessly. All Focus 625 headsets support HP's Focus charge stand; only C56XXAA includes it. Ask us if you need a stand for existing Fold or standard units.
- Confusing it with the Mission 625. The HP Poly Mission 625 (S$148.64) is a wired USB headset, not a Bluetooth model.
- Ordering mixed variants for one team. Pick one part number per user group so spares, stands and support stay simple.
